Overview: <br /> <p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:</strong></p> <p>Work is performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards.</p>
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Monitor Security Operations ticketing queue</li> <li>Perform initial triage on tickets and assign or route to proper team/individuals</li> <li>Monitor Security Operations application dashboards</li> <li>Incident Response</li> <li>Log Correlation review</li> <li>Monitor and threat hunting intelligence feeds and evaluate to determine applicability to environment</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <p><strong>EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Classroom and lab experience with security incident simulations</li> <li>Have status as a sophomore, junior, or senior as of the end of the spring term (or be enrolled in an applicable graduate program).</li> <li>Hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better as of the most recent grading period.</li> <li>Be able to work full-time during normal business hours for this summer.</li> <li>Be available to begin employment between mid-May and mid-June.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE:</strong>&nbsp;<br /><br /> <ul> <li>Completion of two years of a bachelor's program in Information Security by the start of the internship is mandatory.</li> <li>A GPA of at least 3.0 in the program is highly preferred.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills</li> <li>Excellent working knowledge of networks, operating systems, threat and vulnerability sources</li> <li>Ability to proofread documents for spelling, grammar, and punctuation</li> <li>Ability to comprehend consequences of various situations and make appropriate individuals aware of same for decision making</li> <li>Ability to exchange information clearly and concisely and to present ideas, report facts, and other information</li> <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality</li> </ul>
