Overview: <p>The Director, Stars Program Office is responsible for overseeing the execution of the Stars program across the enterprise. Reporting to the VP Stars, this role will consult with business leaders across the enterprise to ensure close collaboration in the implementation of the overall Stars strategy and achievement of defined outcomes.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Drives action of senior executives and management from multiple areas across the organization with formal operating model connections to Stars</li> <li>Assist in the development of execution plans and monitoring performance.</li> <li>Partners with relevant Performance Offices to ensure complete alignment with all execution activities of SHS and Advantasure initiatives and funding impacts to each segment</li> <li>Leads management of processes and program tracking to ensure execution against plan.</li> <li>Leads progress meetings with measure owners, report out, and preparation of status to Stars team and executives.</li> <li>Assists in the identification of resources and budget management.</li> <li>Responsible for a segment of the work performed by the division.</li> <li>Identifies the drivers, strategies, and needs of clients' operations and leads internal change to support those operations.</li> <li>Influences and supports the culture, values, and standards of the organization.&nbsp;</li> <li>Directs the development of corporate standards.&nbsp;</li> <li>Directs the review of tools and technologies for improving performance and reducing costs.</li> <li>Works closely with Business Unit Support and with appropriate business areas to ensure that business needs are understood and that services provided meet those needs.</li> <li>Has wide latitude in determining creative solutions to strategic and operational needs.&nbsp;</li> <li>Provides vision, leadership, planning, project coordination, and management for the development of a cost-effective department, while concurrently facilitating efficient operations to meet current and future business needs within the organization.</li> <li>Represents Company in community and industry, programs, and conferences.</li> <li>Upon request, functions as the department head in the absence of the executive leader.</li> <li>Participates in the development of programs as a strategic partner that supports the company plan.</li> <li>Participates in the development of the annual departmental budget monitors budget, and identifies budget discrepancies.&nbsp; Researches cause and make recommendations.</li> <li>Responsible for balancing workload to optimize the effectiveness of the department.</li> </ul> <p><strong>DIRECTION EXERCISED:</strong></p> <p>Directly supervises exempt and non-exempt staff in accordance with company policies and applicable Federal and State Laws.&nbsp; Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, effectively interviewing, hiring, terminating, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and counseling employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; supporting and encouraging the engagement process.</p>
Requirements: <p><strong>EDUCATION:</strong></p> <p>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a related field.&nbsp; Relevant combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.&nbsp; Continuous learning, as defined by the Company&rsquo;s learning philosophy, is required.&nbsp; MBA designation and advanced certification is highly preferred and encouraged.</p> <p><strong>EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <p>Ten (10) years of progressively more responsible experience in a related environment with demonstrated technical experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.&nbsp; Five years of experience in Quality Stars. Five (5) years of leadership experience in healthcare management required.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Excellent analytical and organizational skills.</li> <li>A high proficiency level in specific job-related skills are required.</li> <li>Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.&nbsp; Ability to read and interpret documents including process, procedure, and technical manuals.&nbsp; Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.&nbsp; Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.</li> <li>Must demonstrate leadership ability and team building skills to effectively supervise professional and non-professional staff and interact with all levels of management.</li> <li>Ability to work with and empower others on a collaborative basis to ensure success of unit team.</li> <li>Ability to effectively exchange information, in verbal or written form, by sharing ideas, reporting facts and other information, responding to questions, and employing active listening techniques.</li> <li>Ability to effectively present budgetary and/or cost information and respond to questions as appropriate.</li> <li>Ability to establish workflows, manage multiple projects, and meet necessary deadlines.</li> </ul> <p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:</strong></p> <p>Work is performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards.&nbsp; Travel may be required.</p> <div id="gtx-trans" style="position: absolute; left: -30px; top: 26.7639px;">&nbsp;</div>
