Overview: <br />The primary focus of this position is to support the Human Resource (HR) operation function to drive the development of a high-performing work environment and engaged workforce. This position is knowledgeable of and performs a wide range of primary responsibilities in many functional areas. The Human Resources Coordinator will serve as the central contact point for HR Phone Tree, HR Helpdesk, answering questions and resolving issues for internal and external customers to promote exceptional customer service and maintain the focus on the ease of doing business and providing an exceptional customer experience.&nbsp;<br /><br /><br /> <p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:</strong></p> <p>Work is performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards.&nbsp;</p> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Functions as the primary resource for all employee helpdesk questions via phone, email, and Oracle HR Helpdesk. Responds to employee inquiries by accessing readily available information. Provides the location of information resources to employees (e.g., intranet, Employee Self Service) when responding to requests.</li> <li>Carries out administrative work involving the HR function and maintains related records including responsibility for maintaining department files and personnel files.</li> <li>Process request/cancellations for the Employee Athletic Center payroll deductions, coordinate gym tours; main contact for all gym equipment repairs and inquiries<a target="_blank">.</a></li> <li>Serves as the main point of contact for processing UAW union cards.</li> <li>Responds to verifications of employment adhoc inquiries.</li> <li>Processes all electronic document transactions.</li> <li>Processes Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll, and System invoices.</li> <li>Handles and processes Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll physical mail including scanning and sending to correct representative.</li> <li>Develops, coordinates, and recommends department process and workflow improvements.</li> <li>Maintains department process and desktop procedure documentation.</li> <li>Process Working out of Class, Finder&rsquo;s Fees, Annual Leave Cash Out, and Waiver and Release forms.</li> <li><a target="_blank">Coordinate the delivery of the monthly employee service awards</a>.</li> <li>Participates in professional development activities to enhance and scope and depth of HR knowledge.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <p><strong>EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resource Management, Business, Finance, or related field;&nbsp;Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.&nbsp;</li> <li>Continuous learning, as defined by the Company&rsquo;s learning philosophy, is required. &nbsp;</li> <li>Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Three years of customer service based experience that provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and abilities.&nbsp;</li> <li>Prior experience in a Human Resources setting preferred.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to establish credibility, trust, and partnership at all levels of the organization.</li> <li>Ability to provide exceptional customer service.</li> <li>Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, statutes, and regulations related to HR and payroll practices.</li> <li>Independence while working effectively and collaboratively within the team.</li> <li>Creative thinking and problem solving, showing innovation and ability with organizational diagnosis and solution generation.</li> <li>Excellent organization, time management, and task-management skills to maneuver in a very fast-paced and diverse environment.</li> <li>Ability to use diplomacy, discretion, and appropriate judgment when addressing callers.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality.</li> <li>Ability and proficiency in the use of computers and company standard software.</li> <li>Knowledge of HRIS, recruiting software, and benefits enrollment software a plus.</li> </ul>
