Overview: <br />The Organizational Development Consultant<strong>&nbsp;</strong>will collaborate closely with other human resources (HR) team members, internal stakeholders, and external partners to provide professional development experiences, services, and support for the Organizational Development and Training functions within emerging Markets. This role is responsible for the strategic development and delivery of enabling solutions that build a high-performance culture and enhance organizational effectiveness. <br /><br />This position will assist with the design, development, and implementation of organizational development initiatives and corporate training and development activities including but not limited to: program planning and design, project management, program content development, and delivery; development of communication and change plans; data management; research and inquiry; program scheduling and coordination; vendor management; material and resource research and ordering. This role will identify and recommend operational improvement opportunities, tie organizational development and learning programs to the company&rsquo;s operational goals, enhance system capabilities, coach and mentor in program development.<br /><br /> <p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:</strong></p> <p>Work is performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards. Some travel required.</p>
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Designs/develops comprehensive project plans, leads projects from planning stage to execution, analyzing project performance, success, and completion.</li> <li>Understands business priorities and challenges to predict future OD needs and anticipate strategic opportunities.</li> <li>Identifies and outlines processes to support organizational change and connects OD initiatives with learning, development, and growth. Clearly communicates OD recommendations and uses strong persuasive skills to successfully present ideas and recommended actions.</li> <li>Responsible for intake of development requests and partners effectively with peers, HR, and Business partners to assess and prioritize those needs and, where appropriate, work on development solutions.</li> <li>Applies change management methodologies to execute change plans and lead change management activities.</li> <li>Develops and supports robust communication plans, presents plans to key stakeholders and senior leaders.</li> <li>Builds content for and implements customized, innovative adult learning programs that drive short-term and long-term change.</li> <li>Supports the development of and facilitation of curriculum for various corporate training and development modules in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.</li> <li>Evaluates, recommends changes, and modifies existing and proposed programs to meet the changing priorities and training and developmental needs of the organization.</li> <li>Facilitates training for existing programs (e.g., leadership development, performance management, new employee orientation) and custom programs (e.g., culture initiatives, various workshops).</li> <li>Review system including but not limited to: content design, development; administration; troubleshooting; generating reports; review, develop and manage feeds; maintenance and delivery.</li> <li>Strategically partners with the other HR business partners in the development and delivery of the internship and trainee programs.</li> <li>Continually identify business/employee opportunities and provide solutions to meet them.</li> <li>Assists with the development and administration of new employee and new manager orientation, employee engagement surveys, insurance education, and tuition assistance programs.</li> <li>Communicates and promotes learning and development opportunities available and provides professional recommendations on related career path development.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <p><strong>EDUCATION:</strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in industrial organizational psychology, organizational behavior management, organizational development, instructional design, or adult education required.</li> <li>Master&rsquo;s degree is preferred.&nbsp;</li> <li>Continuous learning, as defined by the Company&rsquo;s learning philosophy, is required.&nbsp;</li> <li>Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>EXPERIENCE:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Three to five years experience in organizational development (OD) and/or training environment including, development and delivery of in-house programs; facilitating and coordinating learning and leadership development programs; and developing and delivering training sessions.</li> <li>Previous training/OD experience required.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Excellent communication and presentation skills including both oral and written communication.</li> <li>Excellent ability to use multi-media venues effectively.</li> <li>Ability to quickly master technical skills and business processes.</li> <li>Ability to identify different learning styles and to select optimal delivery methods to achieve desired outcomes.</li> <li>Ability to work independently and in/with a team and maintain confidentiality.</li> <li>Ability to plan, coordinate, and lead highly effective meetings.</li> <li>Ability to interact professionally with all levels of employees and create a safe, relaxed learning environment that promotes open and direct communication.</li> <li>Knowledge of talent management systems and learning management software.</li> <li>Ability to turn ideas and concepts into tangible developmental training products.</li> <li>Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.</li> <li>Ability to analyze comprehend employee survey data and assist in developing solution-based agenda.</li> <li>Exceptional time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills. Ability to deal with time constraints and effectively manage deadlines.</li> <li>Ability to monitor and assess performance of others.</li> <li>Ability to make competent, independent decisions.</li> <li>Ability to perform other assignments at locations outside the office.</li> </ul>
