Overview: <br />Responsible for conducting complex analysis required to find appropriate solutions to difficult business problems through application of technology. The position performs advanced troubleshooting, application administration, system reviews, process, workflow, and procedure analysis in association with business units and Information Services. Uses advanced requirements gathering methods to identify, validate, organize, document, and communicate requirements on priority or complex matters. Performs advanced systems analysis and research of business unit requests for reports, data, and application functionality changes.&nbsp;<br /><br /> <p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:</strong></p> <p>Work is typically performed from a home and/or office setting with no unusual hazards.</p>
Responsibilities: <br /><br /> <ul> <li>Interacts with staff, at all levels, of various business units within the enterprise to conduct advanced business analysis of the problem to be solved; clearly documents business needs and change management documents</li> <li>Manages and coordinates complex issues between business units, developers, quality control, and vendor manager, coordinating information for proposed system enhancements, testing, workflow changes, and system implementation.</li> <li>Manages the implementation of solution alternatives, and coordinates with other areas of the business and IS as the advantages and disadvantages of each alternative are reviewed and a solution recommendation is made in collaboration with the appropriate business unit(s).</li> <li>Analyzes complex issues related to systems or data, identifies problems, and documents specific business, data, or system requirements.</li> <li>Manage and oversee teams change requests between business units, development, testing, quality control, and vendor management in coordinating information for proposed system enhancements or data changes and delivers to system implementation.</li> <li>Works with team to determine test approach and to translate requirements into test plans and test cases.</li> <li>Responsible for validating technical changes for quality where system testing is not required.</li> <li>Coordinates and facilitates execution of user acceptance testing.</li> <li>Will act as systems analyst lead on complex projects that will include assigning efforts, tracking work, ensuring deliverables, and escalating any major issues through the project management team.</li> <li>Provides complete Business, Functional, and Technical Requirements documentation that can be signed off by IT and Business Unit subject matter experts and key decision makers.</li> <li>Thorough understanding and management of data flow and system integration across many systems</li> <li>Develop and deliver appropriate documentation targeted to meet the needs of a variety of staff members</li> <li>Effectively facilitate meetings and requirement gathering utilizing various collaborative methods, such as teleconferencing, video conferencing, and webinars.</li> <li>Provides and reviews effort and time estimates requested system modifications or new system initiatives.</li> <li>Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities and ensure on-time delivery</li> <li>Maintains and educates up-to-date technical and practical knowledge and understanding of systems analysis, system testing, and corporate internal processes and procedures.</li> <li>Maintains confidentiality.</li> <li>Prepares status and management reports as required.</li> <li>Works closely and in combination with Developers, Test Analysts, and Systems Support Technicians.</li> <li>May perform highly complex configuration changes in business systems and support data validation and system testing.</li> <li>Manage and maintain technology and business technical recovery plans.</li> <li>Manage vendor relationships including priority of deliverables.</li> <li>Acts as project resource or lead for gathering system, business, and/or data requirements on enterprise projects.</li> <li>Builds relationships with key business unit resources to gain understanding of overall business unit direction.</li> <li>Lead business technical activities for small to medium business initiatives using project management methodology</li> <li>Responsible for establishing business analysis processes utilizing benchmarks and best practices and mentoring fellow financial business systems analysts.</li> <li>Performs peer reviews for Level I and II Business Systems Analysts system configuration ensuring conformity to standards and quality.</li> <li>Participates in Disaster Recovery exercises.</li> <li>Prepares and delivers presentations as necessary to communicate advantages of system and process changes.</li> <li>Cross-functional experience, expert in finance processes and systems and leads team to solution and process</li> <li>Responsible for the strategy, development, and ongoing management of system workflows</li> <li>Thorough knowledge of all relevant regulatory requirements</li> <li>Ensure financial systems are operating efficiently to help driver financial strategy, business unit performance, and regulatory compliance</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <p><strong>EDUCATION:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Data Management, and/or Computer Science.&nbsp;</li> <li>Combinations of relevant education and significant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>With proper education credentials, 5 years of experience providing information technology solutions to business problems.</li> <li>Prior experience as a technical lead or project management with financial software preferred.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Thorough knowledge of IS applications, interfaces, network services, and software development.</li> <li>Expert knowledge of business problem analysis methods, and/or statistical analysis capabilities.</li> <li>Ability to facilitate information needs from individuals/departments and transform them into IS specifications.</li> <li>Expert analytical skills and business knowledge to troubleshoot, investigate, analyze and make recommendations of creative information technology solutions.&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong technical skills and proficiency to perform ad hoc queries for analysis and problem solving.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to exchange factual and technical information with management, technicians, and customers clearly and concisely.</li> <li>Advanced capability to be innovative, creative when presented with roadblocks.</li> <li>Ability to solve complex problems and deal with a wide array of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.</li> <li>Ability to author documentation that will result in the factual exchange of technical information with management, architects, engineers, and customers in a clear and concise manner.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to make competent decisions on such matters as technological problems, workflow, scheduling, testing processes, and procedures.</li> <li>Ability to comprehend the consequences of various problem situations and address them, or refer them for appropriate decision-making.</li> <li>Expert proficiency in the use of software specific to position.</li> <li>Excellent functional and technical writing skills.</li> <li>Ability to utilize various collaborative communication methods, such as teleconferencing, video conferencing, and webinars.</li> <li>Expert interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Understand the need for, and display, a strong sense of urgency while maintaining a high level of quality.</li> <li>Ability to follow processes and standards for systems or data analysis methods using current (and emerging) industry approaches such as Business Process Management (BPM), Business Process Integration, or Data Modeling with appropriate data warehousing and business intelligence architecture and design methodologies.</li> <li>Ability to see the big picture related to requirements and fully understands impacts to other areas and project inter-dependencies.</li> <li>Ability to work on a single system, complex system, and cross-functional, cross-departmental, and enterprise-wide requirements.</li> <li>Defines and uses Business Models, Process Models, Data Models, Workflow Models, and Object Models as needed.</li> <li>Ability to follow IT project management methodologies.</li> <li>Advanced knowledge and consistent application of departmental procedures, processes, and workflows.</li> <li>Demonstrated leadership abilities.</li> <li>Ability to demonstrate linking data or functional requirements from the business to the technical support unit for development.</li> <li>Ability to create organizational documentation standards such as requirement documents, statements of work, proposals, use cases, and other technical documentation standards.</li> <li>Strong technical background that will provide for the ability to be the communication bridge between the non-technical business units and the technology service providers.</li> <li>Extensive knowledge of the current state of the IT industry related to requirements gathering and documentation.</li> <li>Experience with project management tools and processes.</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p>
