Overview: <br />In a developing capacity, this position will become responsible for delivering a full spectrum of HR deliverables that align with the businesses&rsquo; strategic goals. With the support of experienced Human Resource Business Partners and through interaction with various leaders and/or designees from business units, this position will learn to manage and support the organization&rsquo;s talent management strategy to attract, develop and retain top, diverse talent. The incumbent will learn to serve as a primary consultant to leaders in maximizing business results through the use of sound HR practices under the leadership of the Manager, Talent Management &amp; Learning. Leveraging internal resources, the incumbent will provide reliable business direction and counsel on HR-related issues and/or services while ensuring consistency and compliance with corporate policies and applicable regulatory requirements.&nbsp;<br /><br /> <p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:</strong></p> <p>Work is performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards. Minimal travel with overnight stays.</p>
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>By partnering with internal team members and business leaders, ensures alignment with the Enterprise and business unit&rsquo;s strategic direction, provides sound human resource support to each assigned business unit to forward their business strategy.</li> <li>Develops an understanding of the Enterprise and the operating units including key business functions, processes, results, and scorecards.</li> <li>Engage in and support strategy discussions. Proactively identify opportunities to reach business goals, assess scope, and identify where challenges may exist.</li> <li>Assists in developing and execute a plan to brand, market, and increase employee awareness of, and engagement in talent management programs. Develop and implement strategies to recruit best talent including leveraging external resources.</li> <li>Assists in the design and execution of leadership assessment methodologies and talent management strategies and programs including development of Individual Development Plans for potential successor candidates.</li> <li>Contributes to organizational development strategies and. Participates in the design, development, and implementation of programs, policies, and strategies.</li> <li>Participates in the development and implementation of innovative programs, tools, and processes that enable leadership to identify, develop and retain talent. Supports implementation of talent management process and measurement of results/performance.</li> <li>Effectively counsel leadership in the areas of recruitment and selection, succession planning, performance management, and employee development.&nbsp;</li> <li>In a developing capacity, serves as advisor for management and employees on aspects of employee-related issues, including manager/employee issues, policies &amp; procedures, investigations, terminations, reorganizations, EEOC claims, etc., by partnering with labor and employee relations team, General Counsel and union leadership, if applicable,</li> <li>Partner and integrate service delivery with HR enterprise counterparts to ensure consistency in philosophies and alignment with business goals.</li> <li>Conduct analysis, provide insightful reports and analysis of essential HR data to management with recommended appropriate course of action providing the most efficient and cost-effective business solution.</li> <li>Ensure compliance and consistency to HR practices, and adherence to applicable regulatory requirements at the federal and state levels.</li> <li>Ensure that transactional requests are completed, edit and/or create policies, procedures, and/or programs that aid in the provision of HR-related services and/or solutions.</li> <li>Foster and cultivate a positive work environment, across the Enterprise, including a focus on employee engagement and an inclusive culture that will distinguish us as an employer of choice.</li> <li>Contributes to special and cross-functional projects, as needed.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <p><strong>EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resource Management, Business, Finance, or related field required.</li> <li>Master&rsquo;s preferred.</li> <li>Progress towards, or completion of, PHR/SPHR and/or industry-recognized professional designation highly preferred.</li> <li>Continuous learning, as defined by the Company&rsquo;s learning philosophy, is required.&nbsp;</li> <li>Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum five years of relevant human resource experience that provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and abilities.</li> <li>Qualified candidate must have a proven track record in achieving successful results, exceeding customer expectations, being a team player and strong relationship builder, being highly motivated, and have a comprehensive understanding of multiple HR disciplines.</li> <li>Experience working in a collaborative labor/management environment highly preferred.</li> <li>Previous experience working with HRIS required.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to learn the core aspects of the business.</li> <li>Knowledge of the major function of HR, including but not limited to employee and labor relations, selection and recruiting, documentation, and performance management.</li> <li>Knowledge of federal and state laws, statutes, and regulations related to HR practices including but limited to FLSA, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, recordkeeping, EEO, and Civil Rights.</li> <li>Ability to create strategic relationships and form partnerships built on mutual respect, credibility, and trust.</li> <li>Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion as a key part of our culture.</li> <li>Ability to increase value by providing insight, influence, and accountability.</li> <li>Analytical, organizational, and problem resolution skills with the ability to present to both large and small audiences effectively.</li> <li>Ability to effectively exchange information clearly and concisely and to present ideas, report facts and other information, and respond to questions as appropriate.</li> <li>Ability and proficiency in the use of computers and company standard software.</li> <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality.</li> <li>Displays and demonstrates integrity and ethics.</li> </ul>
