Overview: <br />This position will be responsible for supporting Medicare Holding&rsquo;s leadership to oversee stand up of foundational JV Infrastructure and project management for operational and corporate services work tracks. During ongoing operations, the position will support Medicare Holding&rsquo;s leadership with additional business and strategic initiatives including pre-decision partner plan coordination. Across initiatives supported by the Managing Director, this position will support development of executive communication and partner plan coordination materials.<br /><br /> <p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:</strong></p> <p>Work is performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards. Travel is required.</p>
Responsibilities: <br /> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Implementation:</span><br /><br /></strong></p> <ul> <li>Support the Managing Director to ensure the following functions are implemented and offered, through collaboration with appropriate departments, in a scalable and cost-efficient manner. This role will be focused on one of the two sets of health plan functions: <ul> <li>Corporate Services: Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, Governance, Human Resources, Finance, Actuarial</li> <li>Operations: Product, Sales and Marketing, Network, PBM, IT, Vendor Management, and Advantasure-led back office operations</li> </ul> </li> <li>Support oversight of planning and implementation efforts for the above functions including oversight of work track project management and coordination with the JV PMO lead</li> <li>Support development of executive communication and partner plan coordination materials related to in-scope work tracks and other business performance, strategy, and administration topics</li> </ul> <br /> <p><u><strong>Ongoing Operations:</strong><br /><br /></u></p> <ul> <li>Support the Managing Director with business and strategic initiatives including partner plan coordination</li> <li>Support implementation of budgeting and financial projection processes</li> <li>Manage expense and revenue reports to support growth and profitability optimization, including P&amp;L and/or cost model for the Joint Venture Program and Medicare Holdings</li> <li>Support BUR reporting and performance management processes</li> <li>Work with the Managing Director and Emerging Markets strategic partners to develop strategic business plans that successfully position Medicare Holdings for profitable growth</li> <li>Develop market scans to identify and compare prospective partners</li> <li>Support development of executive communication and partner plan coordination materials related to in-scope work tracks and other strategic topics</li> <li>Ensure quality and accuracy of materials and information presented to JV board of directors, Emergent Holdings leadership, and other governing bodies</li> </ul> <p><em><br /></em>This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Requirements: <br /> <p><strong>EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE:</strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><br /></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree.&nbsp;</li> <li>Master&rsquo;s degree preferred.&nbsp;</li> <li>Progress toward or completion of industry-recognized professional designations; i.e., continuous learning, is required.&nbsp;</li> <li>Progress toward advanced degree encouraged.&nbsp;</li> <li>Practical insurance and business analytics are a requirement.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>EXPERIENCE:</strong>&nbsp;<br /><br /></p> <ul> <li>Five years of relevant experience which provide the necessary skills, knowledge and abilities.</li> <li>Previous experience in the insurance industry including Medicare is a requirement.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:<br /><br /></strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of insurance markets, including Medicare.</li> <li>Strong presentation skills, both development and delivery, including technical expertise in Microsoft Office tools such as PowerPoint and Excel.</li> <li>Ability to work to empower others on a collaborative basis to ensure success of unit team.</li> <li>Ability to effectively exchange information, in verbal or written form, by sharing ideas, reporting facts and other information, responding to questions and employing active listening techniques.</li> <li>Ability to effectively present budgetary and/or cost information and respond to questions as appropriate.</li> <li>Ability to establish workflows, manage multiple projects and meet necessary deadlines.</li> <li>Strong management and team-building skills.</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of activities, practices and terminology for healthcare companies.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to conduct root cause analysis of various problem situations and address them or refer them for appropriate decision-making.</li> <li>Ability to develop and implement effective and efficient recommendations.</li> </ul> <br /> <p>The qualifications listed above are intended to represent the minimum education, experience, skills, knowledge and ability levels associated with performing the duties and responsibilities contained in this job description.&nbsp;</p> <p>We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
