Senior Director

Overview: The Managing Director of Data and Reporting will be responsible for the overall strategy, performance, standards and direction of the data analytics and reporting department. This role will partner with business, technology, product and operations leadership to lead the delivery of business imperatives. The managing director of data &amp; reporting will be responsible for the overall strategy, management, execution, and operations of report deliverables, that support assigned government program business operations and client delivery requirements.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Build out and oversee all data reporting processes, including data governance and integrity approaches for government program data.</li> <li>Implement data reporting strategies and assure management of projects and resources.</li> <li>Identify and define both process and data improvements.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with deliverable reporting requirements by assuring quality data audits and analysis occur.</li> <li>Leads the work of functional areas through subordinate leaders and assists executives in defining organizational goals and strategic plans as it related to data and reporting.</li> <li>Develops data centric methodologies and analysis to support core business functions.</li> <li>Manage data insights and analytics, including building out operational dashboards in partnerships with all business areas.</li> <li>Own data analytics as it relates to performance measurement of reporting.</li> <li>Responsible for data &amp; reporting as it relates to contract SLA, data transmission, data loading, processing and SLAs, for all government program products and clients.</li> <li>Coordinate with Technology, Product, and Operations Leadership to define and support the data &amp; reporting needs of enterprise solutions.</li> <li>Influence senior leaders and all levels of technology and operations staff on all areas of the architecture, including policies, standards, strategies, and governance as it relates to Data &amp; reporting.</li> <li>Primary Data &amp; Reporting interface with the C-level executives.</li> <li>Responsible for establishing and enhancing formal processes, schedules, and SLAs for data &amp; reporting, exchange, and transmission.</li> <li>Provide expert advice on industry and application trends and strategy when analyzing and planning current and future IT needs as it relates to data &amp; reporting.</li> <li>Be a stakeholder and provide guidance on complex architecture challenges.</li> <li>Owner of all solutions and tools developed as it relates to Data &amp; reporting.</li> <li>Career management of Data Management team.</li> <li>Sourcing strategy and execution of resourcing for the data &amp; reporting team.</li> <li>Ensures comprehensive and complete work practices and processes are in place and effective.</li> <li>Responsible and accountable for assisting with communications and marketing efforts for the Data &amp; reporting department.</li> <li>Participate in the development of programs as a strategic partner that supports the Company plan.</li> <li>Participate in development of annual departmental budget, monitor budget and identify budget discrepancies. Research cause and make recommendations.</li> <li>Responsibility for balancing workload to optimize the effectiveness of the department.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <p>Directly supervises a varied number of employees in the designated department(s). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.</p>
Requirements: <p><strong>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><em>Relevant combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.</em></p> <ul> <li>Minimum ten (10) years of progressive responsibility in an IT data &amp; reporting environment with demonstrated technical knowledge.</li> <li>Five plus years in IT data &amp; reporting management and leadership required.&nbsp;</li> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in computer science or related field (Master&rsquo;s Degree preferred).&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience within the healthcare insurance industry highly preferred.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
