Overview: <p>We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sourcing Specialist to support the Engineering Infrastructure &amp; Facilities team. This role is embedded within an Engineering shared services model, providing centralized sourcing support for multiple bakery plants FGF &amp; WB. The successful candidate will manage procurement for infrastructure and facilities projects, MRO (maintenance, repair, operations) services, and facility-related expenditures. The role works closely with both plant-based engineering teams and the internal OEM Engineering group to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective sourcing solutions. Responsibilities: <p><strong>Sourcing &amp; Procurement</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead sourcing initiatives for engineering and infrastructure-related projects, including HVAC, utilities, process systems, and facilities upgrades across bakery plants.</li> <li>Develop and implement category strategies that align with infrastructure and facilities project timelines, OEM Engineering inputs, and shared services objectives.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Vendor &amp; Contract Management</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Identify and evaluate suppliers for technical capabilities, service quality, and cost competitiveness.</li> <li>Negotiate commercial terms, SLAs, and long-term agreements with vendors and contractors.</li> <li>Manage ongoing supplier relationships and performance metrics for multiple plant locations.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Project Coordination</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Collaborate with plant engineering teams and OEM Engineering to gather project requirements and technical specifications.</li> <li>Monitor sourcing deliverables to support infrastructure and facilities project milestones across bakery operations.</li> <li>Provide procurement, support documentation and budget alignment across the shared services for various plants/projects.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>C</strong><strong>ost Optimization &amp; Compliance</strong></p> <ul> <li>Accountable for costs and reductions while upholding quality, food safety, and operational efficiency.</li> <li>Ensure all sourcing activities comply with internal plant policies, standard operating procedures, and company procurement guidelines.</li> <li>Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that sourcing strategies are aligned with site-level rules, EH&amp;S standards, and engineering protocols.</li> <li>Monitor and ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations, including those related to construction, utilities, environmental impact, and labor where applicable</li> <li>Identify opportunities for cost avoidance, risk mitigation, and value engineering within infrastructure and facilities procurement.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Data &amp; Analytics</strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintain and analyze sourcing reports, spend reports, and savings initiatives across multiple sites.</li> <li>Offer procurement insights and recommendations to collaborative teams.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Supply Chain/Engineering, and or Business Administration or a related field.</li> <li>Minimum 2 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain, preferably in a food manufacturing or industrial engineering environment.</li> <li>Proven experience supporting multi-site operations or shared service environments.</li> <li>Familiarity with infrastructure and facilities sourcing, including coordination with internal engineering/OEM groups.</li> <li>Strong negotiation and project coordination skills.</li> <li>Proficiency in ERP/procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Coupa) and Microsoft Excel.</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.  Must be able to drive to sites, access to a vehicle.</li> </ul> <br /> <h4><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Prior experience in a bakery or food processing manufacturing setting.</li> <li>Understanding of GMP, food safety compliance, and utility/facility infrastructure standards.</li> <li>Certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CPSM, PMP) is an asset.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What is the recipe for a great career at FGF?<u><br /></u></strong><u><br /></u>Working at FGF Brands, there is never a dull moment!
