Responsibilities: <div> <ul> <li>Respond and react to mechanical issues in the production environment in a timely and efficient manner.</li> <li>Complete maintenance projects - PM tasks and work orders as assigned.</li> <li>Use the CMMS (SAP) to complete work orders, write corrective work orders, and check out parts.</li> <li>Adheres to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards as well as HACCP compliance and other food safety and workplace safety initiatives.</li> <li>Keep a clean and organized work area.</li> <li>Perform building inspections and routines.</li> <li>Communicate with other team members.</li> <li>Must ensure safe work practices (NFPA 70e, LOTO, etc.).</li> <li>Modify, repair, install, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot various types of machinery, equipment, and facilities in the building.</li> <li>Perform both corrective and preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment.</li> <li>A good understanding of the mechanical and electrical components in manufacturing equipment.</li> <li>Sufficient knowledge at reading electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams to aid in troubleshooting.</li> <li>Experience with drill press, grinder, saws, and all other machine shop tools.</li> <li>Provide recommendations for continuous improvement in the facility.</li> <li>Written and oral communication of daily pass-down activities to other technicians and Team Lead.</li> <li>Follows attendance policy. Observes department call-in procedures. Exhibits timely arrival and departure and dependable time habits including meal and other breaks.</li> <li>Maintains a positive attitude and gets along well with coworkers.</li> <li>Exhibits teamwork and willingness to help others.</li> <li>Follows dress code and maintains a professional appearance.</li> <li>Can be relied upon to complete assigned tasks.</li> <li>Complies with established Departmental and Organizational policies and procedures.</li> <li>Works within a team environment to meet/exceed established production standards.</li> </ul> <br /><br /></div> <div> <div>&nbsp;</div> </div>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Minimum 2 years' work experience in a maintenance environment or equivalent education (Food industry is highly preferred).</li> <li>Must have strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.</li> <li>Must have a basic understanding of AC/DC motors, motor control circuits, and photoeyes/sensors, etc.</li> <li>Knowledge of conveyance a strong plus.</li> <li>Must be computer literate.</li> <li>Familiarity with CMMS work order systems.</li> <li>Food manufacturing background a plus with an understanding of FDA requirements.</li> <li>Must have good attention to detail. Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.</li> <li>Should be able to understand blueprints and drawings.</li> <li>Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.</li> <li>Must be able to work at heights from ladders or scissor lifts.</li> <li>Must be able to make decisions.</li> <li>Should have a working knowledge of the following: Welding, Machining, Plumbing, Pipefitting, Electricity.</li> <li>Must be able to speak, read, and write English.</li> </ul>
