Overview: <p><strong>Location - Lebanon, IN, US&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Pay Range: $30.75&ndash;$36.50 per hour, based on experience</strong></p> <p><br />As a team member, the Mechanic maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs high-volume food manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Must be able to operate and maintain all plant and facility support equipment, including but not limited to compressed air system, HVAC systems, Steam system, etc.&nbsp;</li> <li>All Electrical and Mechanical Troubleshooting.&nbsp;</li> <li>Must exceed all "Mechanic Level 1" Mechanical Qualification.&nbsp;</li> <li>Must ensure safe work practices (NFPA 70e, LOTO, etc.).</li> <li>Respond and react to mechanical and electrical issues in the production environment in a timely and efficient manner.</li> <li>Proficient knowledge at reading electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams to aid in troubleshooting.</li> <li>Keep a clean and organized work area.</li> <li>Complete maintenance projects - PM tasks and work orders as assigned.</li> <li>Modify, repair, install, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot various types of machinery, equipment, and facilities in the building.</li> <li>Recognizes waste and recommends initiatives for elimination or reduction.&nbsp;</li> <li>Use the CMMS (SAP) to complete work orders, write corrective work orders, check out parts, etc.</li> <li>Diagnose problems, provide quick &amp; innovative solutions for equipment breakdowns by applying proven skills in the principles of mechanics, fitting, basic welding, metal fabrication, machining, troubleshooting, and analytical problem solving.</li> <li>Provide recommendations for continuous improvement in the facility.</li> <li>Written and oral communication of daily pass-down activities to other technicians and team lead.</li> <li>Maintain proper documentation of plant equipment.</li> <li>Adheres to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards as well as HACCP compliance and other food safety and workplace safety initiatives.&nbsp;</li> <li>Follows attendance policy. Observes department call-in procedures. Exhibits timely arrival and departure and dependable time habits including meal and other breaks.&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintains a positive attitude and gets along well with coworkers.&nbsp;</li> <li>Exhibits teamwork and willingness to help others.&nbsp;</li> <li>Follows dress code and maintains a professional appearance.&nbsp;</li> <li>Can be relied upon to complete assigned tasks.&nbsp;</li> <li>Complies with established Departmental and Organizational policies and procedures.&nbsp;</li> <li>Works within a team environment to meet/exceed established production standards.&nbsp;</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Minimum 4 years' work experience in a maintenance environment or equivalent education.</li> <li>Experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment (Food industry is highly preferred).</li> <li>Must have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.</li> <li>Must have a strong understanding of AC/DC motors, motor control circuits, and photoeyes/sensors, etc.</li> <li>Knowledge of conveyance a strong plus.</li> <li>Must be computer literate.</li> <li>Familiarity with CMMS work order systems.</li> <li>Food manufacturing background a plus with an understanding of FDA requirements.</li> <li>Must have good attention to detail. Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.</li> <li>Should be able to understand blueprints and drawings.</li> <li>Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.</li> <li>Must be able to work at heights from ladders or scissor lifts.</li> <li>Must be able to make decisions.</li> <li>Should have a working knowledge of the following: Welding, Machining, Plumbing, Pipefitting, Electricity.</li> <li>Must be able to speak, read, and write English.</li> </ul> <br /><br /> <p><strong><u>What is the recipe for a great career at FGF?</u></strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Working at FGF Brands, there is never a dull moment!
