Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Ensures Operations Management System (OMS) procedures are being followed,&nbsp;maintaining&nbsp;a current inventory in the operating system.</li> <li>Must lead by example, foster and develop an environment of mutual respect and teamwork among Team Leaders and all FGF Members. &nbsp;</li> <li>Attends pre-shift meetings (huddles) and conducts them as needed, providing feedback to Leadership.</li> <li>Reviews safety, quality, throughput, and waste metrics daily and drives corrective actions.</li> <li>Balances staffing across stations to&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;flow without compromising food safety.</li> <li>Stops or slows the line to address safety or quality risks and communicates impacts to leadership.</li> <li>The&nbsp;Line&nbsp;Leader coaches, mentors and trains Team Members on FGF Culture, Organization, Teamwork, the Site&nbsp;Facility&nbsp;and all&nbsp;facets&nbsp;of Production.</li> <li>Ensures production schedules are met, resolving any issues that hinder the&nbsp;timely&nbsp;production of a Manufacturing Order (MO),&nbsp;maintaining&nbsp;quality and timelines.</li> <li>Coordinates the various department schedules,&nbsp;products&nbsp;and&nbsp;manpower&nbsp;to ensure that the production in the plant is effective and creates a superior product.</li> <li>When required,&nbsp;assists&nbsp;in all testing of new equipment, methods&nbsp;and/or&nbsp;products. Analyzes and assesses issues with production or Site processes.</li> <li>Provides input on staffing levels, fostering a team environment by clearly defining and communicating&nbsp;with&nbsp;the Production Line Team&nbsp;Members&nbsp;their impact on individual and team performance. </li> <li>Trains,&nbsp;develops&nbsp;and evaluates staff in&nbsp;a timely&nbsp;and effective manner. Setting&nbsp;objectives&nbsp;for Line Team Members and completing performance reviews. Required to provide informal and formal feedback regularly to Line Team Members and Leadership.</li> <li>Demonstrate Leadership that promotes Team Member engagement through enhanced communication and trust between team members and the leader.&nbsp;Acts&nbsp;as a backup to the Shift Leader when necessary &nbsp;<br /> Responsible for oversight of Critical Control Points (CCPs) to Production standards. </li> <li>Monitors and&nbsp;provides&nbsp;adjustments to the computerized equipment to ensure a quality product is produced consecutively and that all products are produced with minimal waste.</li> <li>This&nbsp;Line&nbsp;Leader supports the orientation and training effort to ensure a new Team Member assimilates into an effective team.</li> <li>Ensures that a safe working environment is&nbsp;maintained&nbsp;at all times&nbsp;by monitoring Team Members on company standards and regular inspections.  This Team Leader&nbsp;is required to&nbsp;complete three &ldquo;GEMBA&rdquo; walks/tours of production a day. </li> <li>Performs the responsibilities and tasks assigned with guidance from Leadership and may be asked to perform general labor duties when needed, as well as be assigned&nbsp;additional&nbsp;duties by Leadership.</li> <li>Determines&nbsp;and&nbsp;timely&nbsp;reports equipment malfunctions to the&nbsp;appropriate Leadership.</li> <li>Must have the demonstrated ability or develop the ability to communicate problems with the line, issues with the line or personnel and ways to improve the Production Line to Production Leadership.</li> <li>When needed or as opportunities arise, work with Quality or Production Leadership on programs related to Lean Manufacturing and other quality tools.</li> <li>Must be willing to take on&nbsp;additional&nbsp;responsibilities and consistently&nbsp;demonstrate&nbsp;problem-solving skills to excel within the company.</li> <li>Must follow the FGF Site attendance policy and must&nbsp;comply with&nbsp;the required call-in procedures.</li> <li>Must be dependable and&nbsp;comply with&nbsp;timely&nbsp;arrival and departure time habits, including meals and breaks.</li> <li>Required to&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;a positive attitude and co-exist with all FGF Team Members.</li> <li>Must&nbsp;exhibit&nbsp;teamwork and willingness to help other FGF Team Members, strive to work within a team environment to meet/exceed established production standards.</li> <li>Required to follow the FGF company dress code and&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;a professional appearance.</li> <li>Must be able to be&nbsp;relied&nbsp;and depended upon to complete assigned tasks.</li> <li>Required to&nbsp;comply with&nbsp;established Departmental and Organizational policies and procedures.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to move from one task to another with minimal distraction. &nbsp;</li> <li>High School diploma or equivalent preferred.</li> <li>Internal Candidate: Must have worked at&nbsp;FGF&nbsp;as a&nbsp;team leader&nbsp;in production&nbsp;for&nbsp;minimum&nbsp;12 months&nbsp;or&nbsp;outside Manufacturing: QA TL/Sanitation&nbsp;Shift Leader/ Shipping TL/Opex&nbsp;Engineer for 1 year with leadership experience.</li> <li>External candidate:&nbsp;Must have worked as a&nbsp;team leader&nbsp;in manufacturing for minimum 1 year with leadership experience.</li> <li>Must be a demonstrated self-starter who easily interacts with others and is adept at meeting demands&nbsp;established&nbsp;by a dictated schedule.</li> <li>Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, along with mathematical abilities and have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel,&nbsp;Word&nbsp;and Outlook).</li> <li>Attention to detail is&nbsp;a must, as well as the presence of mind to work with difficult people.</li> <li>Ability to visually inspect products and materials.</li> <li>The ability to understand or the ability to learn Food Manufacturing, Food Safety Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) requirements for this position.</li> <li>The ability to understand or learn Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and to grasp all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for this position.
