Overview: <br /> <p>In this results-based position, you must have the ability to develop key relationships with a diverse set of people ranging from general managers/directors to field staff. You must have the ability to work both in a remote site location, in the area office and periodic travel. Willing to work a flexible schedule/hours to achieve required key performance indicators.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>This role is a permanent full-time position overseeing the Field Services operations in Fort McMurray, AB.</p>
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Oversight of the Field Services business unit, incorporating multiple sites/locations in the Fort McMurray oil sands area ranging from 20 to 300+ personnel on a location. This area includes several steady state maintenance operations, with additional turnarounds, and projects throughout the year. Sites include multi-discipline trades, inclusive of Mechanical and E&amp;I.</li> <li>Lead the RFI/RFP process for securing work, including negotiating contracts and securing the best possible terms for the organization.</li> <li>Lead the ongoing planning, estimating, project controls, and other operational/ functional deliverables to run a successful and profitable business unit.</li> <li>Manage small and large projects or turnaround events directly and/or indirectly.</li> <li>Growing the business through organic and non-organic opportunities, building on current relationships, cross selling, and developing new relationships and end markets for your business services.</li> <li>Financial forecasting, budgeting, and ownership.</li> <li>Follow and participate in developing policies, strategies, and procedures that assist their operations and the entire area in achieving the company&rsquo;s goals and targets.</li> <li>Liaise with all internal and external functional support services and vendors to ensure alignment and foster excellent and supportive two-way relationships.</li> <li>Foster excellent relationships, through customer service with all external operational clients of the area by seeking out unsolicited, frequent, in person and mediated communication.</li> <li>Lead incident investigations in real time when required to support site supervision plus HSE and audit incident investigations and proactive tools for quality.</li> <li>Schedule, supervise, and direct the work of employees under their responsibility.</li> <li>Responsible for the supervision and progressing for succession of all direct reports.</li> <li>Fulfill the area manager role in their absence and progress for succession.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul>
