Overview: FLINT seeks proficient and seasoned Heavy Equipment Operators to join our dynamic team! You will operate various heavy machinery in this position to support diverse mining operations. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Execute excavation and heavy equipment operations within an open pit mine.</li> <li>Operate designated heavy machinery safely and efficiently.</li> <li>Engage in all safety protocols and contribute to fostering a safety-conscious culture.</li> <li>Participate in training sessions for new equipment as required.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Minimum of 6000 hours of experience operating a 250+ excavator, coupled with at least 2000 hours on either a 785+ haul truck or D8+ dozer.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience in open pit mining, with a minimum of 2000 hours.</li> <li>Possess a valid driver's license with a clean 3-year driver's abstract.</li> <li>Completion of Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or Basic Safety Orientation (BSO).</li> <li>Preferably, a high school diploma or post-secondary degree.</li> <li>Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting etc.</li> </ul> <strong>Other important details</strong><br /> <br />This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing, audiogram, and mask-fit.<br /> <br /><strong>Why FLINT</strong><br /> <br />FLINT strives every day to be recognized as your employer of choice, modelling our core values not only to our customers but also to our employees.
