Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.</li> <li>Inspect and examine equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.</li> <li>Use hand and power tools to perform repairs, test repaired equipment for proper performance, and ensure that the work meets manufacturers' specifications and legislated regulations.</li> <li>Relocate/operate heavy equipment to move it within the shop area.</li> <li>Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.</li> <li>Clean, lubricate and perform other preventative maintenance work.</li> <li>Equipment and facility continuous improvements.</li> <li>Interface with customers, products, and sales support.</li> <li>Provide support concerning on-site safety requirements.</li> <li>Drafting technical reports and completing paperwork as required.</li> <li>Ensure that safety policies, quality standards, and standard operating procedures are followed.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Specialize in fuel pumps and injectors, track equipment, engine overhaul, hydraulic controls, power shift transmissions, and allied equipment.</li> <li>Valid and up-to-date safety tickets: WHMIS, Fall Protection</li> <li>You thrive on collaboration and in a communal environment.</li> <li>Ability to interpret technical manuals.</li> <li>Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.</li> <li>Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Other Important Details&nbsp;</strong><br /> <br />This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.    <br /> <br /><strong>Why FLINT</strong><br /> <br />FLINT strives every day to be recognized as your employer of choice, modelling our core values not only to our customers but also to our employees.
