Overview: <p>We are looking for a Fabrication Shop Manager that can lead a fabrication team with day-to-day operational activities.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><em><strong>This position is in the Grande Prairie area and is a permanent full-time opportunity. We are looking for a candidate with a Journeyperson Pipefitter or Welding background with previous fabrication and supervision experience.</strong></em></p>
Responsibilities: <p><strong>What would you be doing?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Organize and administrate staff duties and training for day-to-day operational activities.</li> <li>Manage work force performance and disciplinary issues while finding creative ways to resolve problems.</li> <li>Review department reporting on financial reconciliation and cash flow.</li> <li>Improve procedures to support billing process to efficiently send invoices and collect payment.</li> <li>Assist with maintaining shop supply and inventory while providing reports on shop budget.</li> <li>Act as a key contact for shop daily logs, safety statistics, equipment use and maintenance.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Does this sound like you?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Journeyperson Pipefitter or Welding certificate or equivalent years' experience.</li> <li>DSP (DIRECT SERVICE PROVIDER) or Contractor Options Available.</li> <li>3 or more years' structural and piping experience.</li> <li>Advanced MS Office experience preferred.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Perks of the job</strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>$45.00-$55.00/hr. hourly employee rate.</li> <li>10 hour working days with overtime eligibility.</li> <li>Schedule varies based on business needs but also offers an excellent work life balance.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Other important details</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><em>This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.</em></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
