Overview: <br /> <p>Flint is recruiting for a Management&nbsp;Trainee, based out of our Flint Office in Burnaby, BC. Flint&rsquo;s&nbsp;Management&nbsp;Trainee Program offers participants an opportunity to&nbsp;learn&nbsp;our business starting from the ground up. With skilled supervision, a variety of field-based operational training, exposure to a variety of functional areas and mentoring to ensure&nbsp;success, the program will fast-track your career into an operational&nbsp;management&nbsp;role.</p> <p>You will work directly&nbsp;in the shop and field operations to&nbsp;understand&nbsp;the Project Cycle from start to finish. Your field experience is then combined with&nbsp;leadership&nbsp;training and increased levels of&nbsp;responsibility&nbsp;in project planning, coordination, and other functional areas.</p> <p>Flint specializes in Maintenance Turnaround, Project Work, Construction, Welding Fabrication and Facility Pipeline Construction.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul type="disc"> <li>This is an entry-level leadership&nbsp;development program designed to prepare suitable candidates for supervisory and future&nbsp;management&nbsp;positions with Flint.</li> <li>For the first few months, this program will involve&nbsp;&ldquo;hands-on&rdquo; in the field, which is physically demanding and labor intensive. You will be exposed to Fabrication, Maintenance, Construction and Turnarounds. This is intended to provide&nbsp;direct&nbsp;experience and allow for an expedited&nbsp;learning&nbsp;curve on the fundamentals of the business.</li> <li>Thereafter, the successful candidate&nbsp;will be exposed to functional and&nbsp;project management&nbsp;responsibilities.</li> <li>While the majority of the program may take place in a construction environment, there is an expectation that the candidate be prepared to travel to different sites. It will/may require working extended hours on projects located away from a home base (Camp or LOA&nbsp;environment).</li> <li>The program is typically two to three years&nbsp;in duration&nbsp;dependent&nbsp;on the Trainee&rsquo;s previous experience and accomplishments during the program. Candidates completing the&nbsp;Management&nbsp;Trainee Program will have the opportunity to pursue a career in a variety of roles in either Project&nbsp;Services&nbsp;roles or Functional positions.</li> <li>In order to offer the broadest range of experience, you&nbsp;must also be prepared to be transferred to multiple Flint divisions throughout their tenure.</li> </ul>
