Overview: FLINT is seeking talented and safety-oriented Pipefitters to support our team for an upcoming Project!<br />Located in Medicine Hat, AB, this project starts on May 6th, 2024, and will continue until June 30th, 2024. It offers a convenient 9/80 shift rotation that allows you to contribute your skills as needed. With perks including benefits after 300 hours worked, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute your skills to our team's success.<br /> <br />As a Pipefitter, you'll be immersed in various tasks, from studying blueprints and layouts to assembling and installing pipes, valves, and fittings. If you hold a Journeyperson or Apprentice Pipefitter ticket/certification, possess the necessary safety certifications, and are physically capable of handling the job's demands, we encourage you to apply. <br /> <br />Perks of the job <br /> <ul> <li>Competitive pay. Your compensation will be based on your registered ITA trade level, cumulative skills, and work experience.</li> <li>9/80 Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9 hours/day (Sat/Sun off), alternating with Monday through Thursday, 9 hours/day (Fri/Sat/Sun off).</li> <li>Travel Pay: 3 hrs. maximum per rotation.</li> <li>LOA: $150.00/day.</li> <li>Eligibility for Benefits: After accumulating just 300 work hours, you become eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.</li> Experience job stability fostering the potential for personal and professional growth within our organization.</ul>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the type of pipe and instruments to use and lay out the sequence of tasks.</li> <li>Draft detailed sketches for pipe and equipment fabrication and installation.</li> <li>Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble, and install metal, plastic, and fibreglass pipes, valves, and fittings.</li> <li>Join pipe sections and related equipment and secure in position.</li> <li>Use testing equipment to check systems for leaks.</li> <li>Maintain and repair piping systems.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Journeyperson or Apprentice Pipefitter ticket/certification.</li> <li>Valid CSTS-20, H2S Alive, and WHMIS 2015 tickets.</li> <li>Turnaround experience preferred.</li> <li>Experience with hydro testing an asset.</li> <li>Enjoy a varied workload.</li> <li>Must have your own reliable transportation.</li> <li>Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.</li> <li>Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Other important details  </strong><br /> <br />This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.  <br /> <br /><strong>Why FLINT</strong><br /> <br />FLINT strives every day to be recognized as your employer of choice, modelling our core values not only to our customers but also to our employees.
