Overview: FLINT is seeking a local industrial seamstress in the Whitecourt, AB, area with expertise in fabricating high-quality insulation blankets and experience in construction and maintenance projects.<br /> <br />This role requires proficiency in operating sewing machines, handling various materials, and supporting trade workers on-site. Join our dynamic team and apply now!<br /> <br /> <p><strong>Perks of the job</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Opportunity to work in a fabrication shop</li> <li>Benefits after 300 hours</li> <li>Work up to 40 hours a week on a casual basis</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Operate industrial sewing machines to create insulation blankets per technical specs.</li> <li>Measure, cut, and assemble materials, including fibreglass, foam, and high-temp fabrics.</li> <li>Interpret technical drawings and adjust techniques as needed for accurate production.</li> <li>Inspect and ensure products meet quality standards; repair defects.</li> <li>Perform routine maintenance and report mechanical issues.</li> <li>Manage and organize an inventory of materials and supplies.</li> <li>Follow safety protocols, use PPE, and adhere to company policies.</li> </ul>
