Overview: FLINT is seeking energetic and self-driven Pipefitters to join our team for the upcoming project starting in April 22nd, 2024 until October 31st, 2024. Based in Carseland, this role is perfect for local candidates from Calgary, Strathmore, High River, or Okotoks. As a Pipefitter, you'll be immersed in various tasks, from studying blueprints and layouts to assembling and installing pipes, valves, and fittings. If you hold a Journeyperson Pipefitter ticket/certification, possess the necessary safety certifications, and have operating plant experience, we encourage you to apply. <br /> <br /><strong>Perks of the job</strong> <br /> <ul> <li>Competitive Pay.</li> <li>Benefits after 300 hours of work.</li> <li>LOA $160.00/day.</li> <li>Opportunity to work overtime if the workload demands</li> <li>Monday - Thursday schedule with weekends off</li> <li>Easy access to the ring road from Calgary</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the type of pipe and instruments to use and lay out the sequence of tasks.</li> <li>Draft detailed sketches for pipe and equipment fabrication and installation.</li> <li>Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble, and install metal, plastic, and fibreglass pipes, valves, and fittings.</li> <li>Join pipe sections and related equipment and secure in position.</li> <li>Use testing equipment to check systems for leaks.</li> <li>Maintain and repair piping systems.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Journeyperson Pipefitter ticket/certification.</li> <li>Valid and up-to-date Fall Protection, CSTS 2020 and Confined Space Entry.</li> <li>Experience working in an operating plant, an asset.</li> <li>Enjoy a varied workload.</li> <li>Must have your own reliable transportation.</li> <li>Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.</li> <li>Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Other important details </strong> <br /> <br />This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.  <br /> <br /><strong>Why FLINT</strong><br /> <br />FLINT strives every day to be recognized as your employer of choice, modelling our core values not only to our customers but also to our employees.
