Overview: Join Our Team for the Fall Turnarounds across Alberta!<br /> <br />FLINT is seeking talented and safety-oriented Quality Control Inspectors to support our team for our upcoming turnarounds. Starting Early September 2024 and running until October 15, 2024, this turnaround offers a straight-through, 12-hour/day work schedule. With benefits kicking in after 300 hours worked and LOA provided, this is a fantastic opportunity to contribute your skills to our team's success.<br /> <br />In this role, you will be crucial in maintaining the highest quality standards. Focusing on vessel repair and alterations, you will perform visual and physical checks on final assemblies, coordinate NDE activities, and ensure compliance with ASME and CSA code requirements. Your technical expertise and proficiency in Microsoft Office will contribute to the success of our projects. Don't miss the opportunity to be a part of a dedicated team and enjoy benefits such as competitive compensation.<br /> <br />Our turnaround sites are located in: <br />Carseland, Anzac, Grande Prairie, Redwater, Conklin.<br /> <br />Perks of the job<br /> <ul> <li>Competitive pay: Your compensation will be based on your inspection certificate level, cumulative skills, and work experience.</li> <li>Schedule is dependent on site - daily OT after 8 hours</li> <li>Vehicle Allowance</li> <li>Travel is dependent on the site</li> <li>Eligibility for Benefits: After accumulating just 300 work hours, you become eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.</li> <li>Based on project location LOA or Camp Accommodations, Travel Reimbursement, Night Shift Premiums offered.</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Performing quality activities on vessel repair/alterations (AB-40).</li> <li>Performing visual and physical checks on final assemblies, including welds, materials, and flange faces.</li> <li>NDE coordination, including identification of welds requiring NDE.</li> <li>Ensuring that all relevant information has been captured, including welding procedures, welder ID, NDE, and redlining.</li> <li>Maintaining Quality documents according to established Quality manuals and procedures.</li> <li>Coordinating with team members on daily functional QC duties.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Technical Education (WET or MET) or Journeyperson certification is an asset.</li> <li>Valid Safety Tickets: CSTS 2020 and H2S Alive.</li> <li>Fall Protection, AWP and Confined Space Entry are an asset.</li> <li>Thorough knowledge of ASME and CSA code requirements (Canadian Standards Association).</li> <li>DSP (DIRECT SERVICE PROVIDER) or Contractor Options Available.</li> <li>Have previous vessel repair/alteration experience.</li> <li>CSA W 178.2 Level II or higher with job site applicable endorsements.</li> <li>Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.</li> <li>Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.</li> <li>Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs.), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.</li> </ul> <strong>Other important details  </strong> <br />  <br />This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.   <br />  <br /><strong>Why FLINT</strong><br /> <br />FLINT strives every day to be recognized as your employer of choice, modelling our core values not only to our customers but also to our employees.
