Overview: We are a team of construction professionals focused on providing customized solutions for repair, retrofit and strengthening of structures using Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) products. Installers are specialized in applying FRP products and providing assistance in the rehabilitation and repair of structures. FRP installation and safety training will be provided on the job. This position will report to the Superintendents and Project Managers.
Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.<br /> <ul> <li>Work effectively with supervisors and peers in the successful installation of structural strengthening systems, waterproofing systems and others as needed</li> <li>Operate vehicles and construction equipment such as forklifts, man lifts, boom lifts, etc.</li> <li>Assist in setup and cleanup of sites</li> <li>Operate small tools such as air compressors, spray equipment, etc.</li> <li>Follow all company and job specific safety policies</li> </ul> <strong>Competencies</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Ability to work in extreme heights or in confined spaces</li> <li>MSHA &amp; OSHA certifications are a plus</li> <li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license is required with a clean DMV record; A CDL, Class B is a plus</li> <li>Basic computer literacy</li> <li>Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to listen and comprehend instructions accurately</li> <li>Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions and decimals</li> <li>Reasoning Skills: Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in a standardized situation</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Supervisory Responsibility</strong><br />This position does not require any supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements: <strong>Work Environment<br /></strong>This job operates outside at job sites. This role routinely uses moving vehicles and mechanical<br />operations. The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to fumes or airborne<br />particles. The noise level is usually moderate. Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory.<br /><strong><br />Physical Demands<br /></strong>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to<br />successfully perform the essential functions of this job.<br /><br />While performing the duties of this job, the employee requires the ability to use hands to handle, or feel<br />objects, required to stand, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and taste or smell. The<br />Installer will need to regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and have the ability for extended<br />concentration. The Installer must be able to enter confined spaces and work from heights of 100+ feet.<br />Position Type/Expected Hours of Work<br />This is a full-time, safety-sensitive position. Days and hours of work vary per project, with some<br />flexibility. Work may be required during the weekends depending on specific project conditions.<br /><strong><br />Travel<br /></strong>The demand for travel is extensive.
