Engineer

Overview: We have a global project base. You will use your creative abilities combined with your in-depth understanding of structural engineering principles to design FRP solutions to strengthen structures. FRP design training will be provided on the job. This position will report to the Senior Engineer.
Responsibilities: <strong>Essential Functions</strong> <br /> <br />Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. <br /> <br />▪ Perform analysis and design of structures subjected to gravity and lateral loads <br />▪ Perform strengthening of structural elements with FRP materials <br />▪ Develop design drawings and/or specifications in compliance with applicable codes and regulations <br />▪ Assemble construction documents integrating both QuakeWrap designs and information obtained from client/owner interaction ▪ Develop design solutions based on reports of structural failures, damages, and defects through written and photographic documents, and by site visit and investigation <br />▪ Provide reports detailing investigations and assessment of structures <br /><br /><strong>Supervisory Responsibility:</strong> This position does not require any supervisory responsibilities. <br /><br /><strong>Work Environment:</strong> This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the R&amp;D laboratory, which may require the use of personal protective equipment such as mandatory safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection. <br /><br /><strong>Travel:</strong> Less than 10% travel may be required. <br />

Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm with some flexibility. <br /><br /><strong>Required Education and Experience</strong> <br />▪ Bachelor of Science (BS) in Structural Engineering <br />▪ Courses related to design of reinforced concrete and steel structures <br />▪ Familiarity with design of masonry and wood structures (preferred, but not required)
