Full-Time

Overview: Our Process Operators operate various processes within our acids manufacturing group. These include the ammonium fluoride reactor processes, the nitric and hydrofluoric acid distillations, proprietary reactor process, and various utility processes including the industrial waste treatment facility, deionized water facility and other support facilities.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Obtain forklift certification and perform material handling operations as assigned.</li> <li>Correctly document containers processed as required by standard operating procedure, including manual and electronic logs, forms, and labels.</li> <li>Communicate equipment status and outages to the plant coordinator and process supervisor, as needed for correct, safe operation. Assist maintenance to troubleshoot and operate equipment for repair activities.</li> <li>Participate in operational, quality, and safety reviews, as assigned.</li> <li>Complies with all Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP) regulatory requirements for the operation of ammonia system and distillation processes.</li> <li>Participate in (ERT) Emergency Response Team after completing 40 Hour training. In the absence of Plant Coordinator be able to act as Incident Commander to manage emergency responses to completion or until relieved.</li> <li>Maintains housekeeping and safety requirements in a wide range of plant operations.</li> <li>Complies with all process operator certification requirements and other certification requirements as assigned by the supervisor.</li> <li>Perform other duties, as assigned.</li> <li>Operates Hydrofluoric Acid and Nitric Acid distillation processes to produce parts-per-billion (ppb) grade product. Distillation product supports chemical blending and other operations.</li> <li>Operates industrial boilers to support distillation operations.</li> <li>Operates Industrial Waste Treatment (IWT) plant within City of Mesa permit limits.</li> <li>Operates Deionized Water unit to support high purity chemical applications in blending, rinsing, and cleaning operations.</li> <li>Operates Ammonia and Acid Fume Scrubbers within air discharge permit limits.</li> <li>Operates an Ammonium Fluoride process to produce high purity grade material in support of blending operations.</li> <li>Operates an Anhydrous Ammonia system in support of Ammonium Fluoride operations.</li> <li>Operates cooling water systems in support of other operations.</li> <li>Conducts hourly rounds on all systems using tablet and software package to electronically document the process and correct any potential system deviations. React to data and trends on process to correct or</li> <li>Assists with compounding and sampling in support of blending operations.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED.</li> <li>Minimum 6-8 years chemical handling experience required or Manufacturing Technician III level competency level or higher. High purity chemical, semiconductor or pharmaceutical experience required.</li> <li>Must be able to obtain ERT certification, and maintain ERT requirements.</li> <li>Ability to understand chemical compounding and sampling, and communicate results effectively</li> <li>6-8 years fork truck experience on either sit down or stand up fork trucks.</li> <li>Strong Communication skills.</li> <li>Demonstrated abilities to work independently and as a team.</li> <li>Strong Troubleshooting Skills.</li> <li>Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.</li> <li>Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, stoop, bend, climb and reach.</li> <li>Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.</li> <li>Ability to work well with others at all levels of the organization.</li> <li>Must have a valid Arizona drivers&rsquo; license and clean driving record.</li> <li>Ability to work varied shifts to include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, including weekends.</li> <li>Experience in operating a forklift and other manufacturing tools.</li> <li>Ability to be fitted for and wear a respirator.</li> <li>This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.</li> </ul>
