Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Participate in month-end closing including analyzing purchase price and order variances. Work with operations to resolve any identified errors. Prepare and input Journal Entries.</li> <li>Analyze inventory accounting and COGS to ensure accurate reporting of financial data.</li> <li>Maintain the integrity and accuracy of product cost data. <ul> <li>Update /Review standard costs including BOMs and Routings.</li> <li>Will work with plant operations and engineering to update and maintain routings.</li> <li>Work with purchasing on obtaining new material and packaging costs and input into SAP.</li> <li>Estimate standard costs for new products.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Assist in Inventory Management <ul> <li>Assist with the accounting analyst and inventory team on conducting and reviewing cycle count/physical inventories.</li> <li>Work with the materials review board to ensure proper reserves for obsolete inventory.</li> <li>Reconcile inventory to general ledger.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations. Manage open items to resolution.</li> <li>Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process. <ul> <li>Annual standard cost development including a review of BOM&rsquo;s, routing and materials costs.</li> <li>Preparation of Labor and Overhead rates for the various business areas.</li> <li>Local site spending budgets and proper allocation of spending to the business units.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Assist in documenting procedures as needed.</li> <li>Work on special projects as required.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP.</li> <li>Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>3+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the manufacturing industry.</li> <li>Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles &amp; Cost Accounting Standards.</li> <li>Ability to research, compile analyze and interpret data.</li> <li>Ability to work well with others at all levels of the organization.</li> <li>This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment.
