Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Participate in the investigation of non-conforming product and customer concerns / issues to determine root cause and develop appropriate corrective and preventative actions.</li> <li>Perform root-cause analysis and other problem solving activities to identify effective corrective actions and process improvements.</li> <li>Manage the internal SPC/SQC process and develops data packages for internal and external customer review.</li> <li>Develop and present PCS to customers.</li> <li>Maintain consistent metrics (process capability, control charts, measurement quality) for monitoring systems effectiveness.</li> <li>Interact with customers to identify opportunities to improve quality and establish feedback with manufacturing and development personnel.</li> <li>Prepare for and participate in internal and external quality audits.</li> <li>Coordinate the development and execution of internal and customer specific continuous quality improvement plans.</li> <li>Support the manufacturing groups to design, implement and document procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.</li> <li>Conduct supplier process audits and develop plans for improving quality and reducing variation in raw materials.</li> <li>Ownership in resolving all quality issues associated with the assigned suppliers.</li> <li>Lead supplier quality performance improvement strategies using statistical treatment of data, process capability, trend analysis and applying project management techniques to improve supplier quality.</li> <li>Assess supplier process capability in correlation with new product development, initial supplier selection, ship-to-control and spec improvements.</li> <li>Work with suppliers to develop robust supplier root cause analysis, corrective action plans, containment plans and ensure execution for on-time implementation of planned activities.</li> <li>Support, develop and execute supplier audit schedules to ensure suppliers have robust quality systems, compliant to all applicable standards.</li> <li>Establish and maintain consistent supplier metrics (process capability, control charts, measurement quality) for monitoring systems effectiveness.</li> <li>Analyze and rationalize product and supplier specifications to establish efficient, cost-effective requirements for ease of manufacture and reproducibility.</li> <li>Provide problem solving expertise for a wide range of technical problems of various engineering projects.</li> <li>Support production with technical assistance for day-to-day manufacturing issues. Support and participate in environmental, safety and health and quality department programs and requirements.</li> <li>Other projects / tasks as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>A BS in Chemical Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of chemical industry experience.</li> <li>Other engineering or technical disciplines will be considered if candidate has experience in chemical manufacturing or chemical process development.</li> <li>Prior experience in a quality engineering function working with semiconductor manufacturers or within the semiconductor industry supplier base is strongly preferred.</li> <li>Hands on experience using structured problem solving, root causes analysis, and SQC/SPC techniques.</li> <li>Direct experience with ISO9001 or equivalent Quality Management System.</li> <li>Strong organization skills, good attention to detail, and the ability to function effectively as part of a cross functional team.</li> <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Must have excellent computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and statistical software tools).</li> <li>Strong troubleshooting skills.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>MENTAL &amp; EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Resilience -</strong>&nbsp;Adapting well in the face of workplace stressors, the ability to work effectively and efficiently in high stress and conflict situations, the ability to remain poised under all circumstances, the ability to maintain regular attendance and be punctual.&nbsp;</li> <li><strong>Communication -</strong>&nbsp;The ability to successfully and professionally express and exchange&nbsp;ideas&nbsp;and meanings with all levels of employees in the organization, the ability to interact appropriately with a variety of individuals including customers/clients, the ability to work as an integral part of a team, ability to interact effectively with people in a positive manner that engenders confidence and trust.</li> <li><strong>Reasoning and decision-making -</strong>&nbsp;The ability to understand, remember and follow verbal and written instructions, the ability to reason logically and make sound decisions.</li> <li><strong>Comprehension -</strong>&nbsp;The ability to complete tasks without direct supervision, the ability to simultaneously address multiple complete problems.</li> <li><strong>Organizational skills -</strong>&nbsp;Ability to multitask without loss of efficiency or accuracy, the ability to work and sustain attention with distractions and interruptions, the ability to perform in situations requiring speed, deadlines or productivity quotas.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>FUJIFILM Ultra Pure Solutions Inc.,&nbsp;</strong>is part of the Fujifilm family &ndash; a company that has been evolving and transforming for more than 85 years.
