This role will support our Process Chemicals group.<br /> <br />With state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in the U.S., Europe, Taiwan, China, Korea and Japan, local sales offices throughout the world and on-site applications support, FUJIFILM Electronic Materials supplies the world's top tier semiconductor manufacturers with a broad array of products and services used throughout the semiconductor manufacturing process.<br /> <br />The Role<br /> <br />The Procurement Manager will manage raw material commodity strategies and hold suppliers accountable for top performance. This role is responsible for supply assurance and securing best overall value while continuing to ensure that purchased materials support quality, cost, delivery, and service levels. This position works closely with Finance, Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, R&amp;D and Facilities, provides leadership in problem solving, price negotiations, cost containment strategies and enhancing supplier relationships.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Effectively engage with business leaders and other key internal partners in the planning process to establish critical near-term and long-term objectives for the spend categories they manage. Be responsible for the development and execution of these strategies.</li> <li>Understand and document supply/demand balance for key raw materials and develop landscape of key users and producers.</li> <li>Development of business continuity plans for supply base and implementation of risk mitigation plans.</li> <li>Aggressive focus on total cost of ownership and development of cost saving initiatives</li> <li>Develop and maintain relationships with all key producers of important raw materials in the market.</li> <li>Responsible for negotiating and finalizing contracts with FEPC suppliers, and for all ongoing contract management responsibilities associated with such contracts. Work with internal partners to understand problems faced in the past and develop contracting strategy to mitigate those problems.</li> <li>Monitor trends and events which may have a material impact on FEPC&rsquo;s business, and proactively communicate recommended strategies and tactics to respond to these changes.</li> <li>Maintain monthly procurement metrics and report as needed.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Demonstrated ability to manage critical spend categories.</li> <li>Strong history negotiating and implementing contracts, with fluency in both commercial and legal terms.</li> <li>Ability to influence supplier behavior in situations where changing suppliers can be difficult.</li> <li>Experience in chemical industry or semiconductor industry preferred.</li> <li>Minimum of 5 years of direct supplier relationship experience</li> <li>BS/BA degree required, MBA a plus.</li> <li>Ability to travel approximately 5 days/quarter.</li> <li>This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.</li> </ul>
