Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Follows documented procedures to prepare and fill containers based upon specific product and customer requirements</li> <li>Ensures correct lineup of packaging for various receipt and delivery operations; performs gauging and temperature verification; completes associated paperwork</li> <li>Moves containers and supplies within the plant to using a forklift</li> <li>Responds rapidly and appropriately to emergencies following safety guidelines and procedures; uses equipment, chemicals and procedures appropriate to the situation to mitigate damages</li> <li>Abides by all safety procedures and practices, participates in appropriate safety training; demonstrates dedication to and support of EH&amp;S principles and values</li> <li>Understands and ensures all work performed meets Federal and State OSHA requirements</li> <li>Trains regularly on all Federal, state and local environmental regulations, requirements and guidelines</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>1 &ndash; 3 years proven experience in manufacturing environment</li> <li>HIgh School diploma or GED required.</li> <li>Must possess valid state Driver&rsquo;s License</li> <li>Good communications skills; ability to clearly communicate to all levels in the organization</li> <li>Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and long division.</li> <li>Basic computer knowledge and user ability including database systems and other programs and applications used at location</li> <li>Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow through on assignments</li> <li>Flexibility to work varying and/or rotating shifts</li> </ul> <p><strong>Work Environment/Conditions</strong></p> <ul> <li>Exposure to inside and outside elements (100&deg;+ summer to -10&deg; winter)</li> <li>Exposure to various chemicals and compounds, including fumes and smells, some of them hazardous.</li> <li>Ascends and descends ladders and stairs. Ability to work in elevated environments, potentially for lengthy periods of time.</li> <li>Loud sounds and vibrations could be experienced at times. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (All environments are safe with appropriate PPE).</li> <li>Regularly required to walk (sometimes over long distances and carrying tools weighing up to 15 pounds), crawl, sit, speak, and hear. Stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; the technician will be required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch; able to twist around repeatedly; lift and/or move up to seventy-five (75) pounds including overhead; carry up to 25 pounds over a distance of up to 30 yards; roll and tip dolly holding 55 pounds</li> <li>This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Work Schedule:</strong></p> <p>8 hour shifts covering a 24/7 operation. Now interviewing candidates for:</p> <ul> <li><strong>3rd Shift: Monday - Thursday 6pm - 4:30am</strong>&nbsp;(overtime may be required)</li> <li>Standard PPE includes - steel toe shoes (provided by us), safety glasses, hard hat, company-provided uniform. Additional PPE required for certain job functions.</li> </ul>
