We have an exciting opportunity at our North Kingstown, RI location for a Senior Accountant!<br /> <br />With state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in the U.S., Europe, Taiwan, China, Korea and Japan, local sales offices throughout the world and on-site applications support, FUJIFILM Electronic Materials supplies the world's top tier semiconductor manufacturers with a broad array of products and services used throughout the semiconductor manufacturing process.<br /> <br /><strong>The Role</strong><br /><br />The Senior Accountant will support our Process Chemicals group (FEPC) and subsidiaries. Our accounting team works a hybrid schedule with 2 days at home for 3 weeks of the month and then 1 day for close week.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Coordinate monthly closing activities and consolidate and report financial information of FEPC &amp; subsidiaries actual results, MTP and current estimates.</li> <li>Create results analysis and enter financial data to corporate system. Prepare consolidated reports for management reviews, submission to Japan Corporate Accounting &amp; Planning and EM Division.</li> <li>Maintain accounting master data in ERP system (SAP).</li> <li>Prepare required reports for FUJIFILM Holdings America Finance and Tax as required.</li> <li>Consolidate information and prepare government reports.</li> <li>Support external, internal, and J-Sox audits and develop remedial actions for deficiencies.</li> <li>Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries based on resulting analysis.</li> <li>Support FEPC Business Management regarding activity at European and Asian subs providing financial information and facilitating business transactions for credits, pricing for raw material / blends invoicing.</li> <li>Undertake miscellaneous projects as directed by Manager Accounting Services in support of business groups.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. MBA, CMA or CPA preferred.</li> <li>5 plus years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills and ability to develop relationships within a team environment and across departments. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks in an environment of changing priorities.</li> <li>Advanced Accounting Principles, Excel, and SAP.</li> <li>This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment.
