Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Operate, monitor, and adjust chemical manufacturing equipment to ensure safe and efficient production.</li> <li>Handle and measure raw materials according to specified formulations, follow strict safety and quality guidelines.</li> <li>Collect samples for QC lab analysis.</li> <li>Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.</li> <li>Accurately process production data transactions in ERP system (SAP).</li> <li>Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and hazardous material handling procedures.</li> <li>Perform equipment cleaning.</li> <li>Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, safety programs, and required training to enhance operational knowledge and compliance.</li> <li>Adhere to 5S practices to maintain a clean and safe work environment.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <div> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field is preferred.</li> <li>Entry-level position &ndash; no prior experience required. However, candidates with experience in a manufacturing or chemical processing environment are preferred and may be considered for higher-level roles.</li> <li>Basic math skills, including the ability to perform measurements, conversions, and simple calculations related to production processes.</li> <li>Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions, SOPs, and safety guidelines in English.</li> <li>Communication skills to document production activities, report issues, and collaborate effectively with team members.</li> <li>Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting. Experience with SAP strongly preferred.</li> <li>Fork truck driving experience preferred.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.</li> <li>Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including a full or half-face respirator, as necessary.</li> </ul> <strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Ability to stand, walk, and move continuously for extended periods.</li> <li>Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of materials and equipment, typically 5-20 lbs.</li> <li>Use of hand trucks, drum dollies, or other material-handling equipment to move heavy drums of material or equipment.</li> <li>Manual dexterity to operate equipment, handle materials, and perform precise tasks.</li> <li>Bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching as required for equipment operation and maintenance.</li> <li>Ability to climb stairs and ladders as needed in a manufacturing setting.</li> <li>Good hand-eye coordination and visual acuity to monitor equipment, read documentation, and ensure safety compliance.</li> <li>Ability to wear and work in personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, safety glasses, respirators, and chemical-resistant uniform, as required.</li> </ul> <strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Manufacturing environment with exposure to: <ul> <li>Chemicals, fumes, and airborne particles (with proper PPE provided).</li> <li>Noise levels requiring hearing protection in designated areas.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Work may involve operating near moving machinery and heavy equipment.</li> <li>Shift work, including nights, weekends, and overtime, may be required based on production needs.</li> </ul> <br />Candidates are selected based on their qualifications, experience, and skill proficiency. Depending on their skillset and level of expertise, successful applicants may be hired at a I, II, or Sr. level Manufacturing Technician.
