We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician I at our Hollister, CA facility!<br /> <br />The Role<br /> <br />As a Maintenance Technician I, you will be responsible for performing mechanical maintenance and installations for manufacturing, cleanroom, lab, and facilities. These activities include items such as: repair and installation of plant piping systems, repair and installation of packaging/conveyor systems, general utility repairs.<br /> <br />This person will also be involved in day-to-day maintenance activities to include completion of work orders, electrical motor change outs, and preventative maintenance tasks. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Support safety activities at site and active participant in Safety Elements team</li> <li>Troubleshooting systems and equipment on site for all functions</li> <li>Install and repair pumping systems like air diaphragm, centrifugal pumps etc.</li> <li>Install and repair piping systems, including Copper, Stainless Steel, PFA, Cast Iron, etc.</li> <li>Operate forklift, scissor lift and boom lifts</li> <li>Operate and troubleshoot all emergency response systems</li> <li>Troubleshoot electrical systems and instrumentations as needed</li> <li>Complete preventative maintenance and emergency maintenance activities as assigned</li> <li>Support all site functions, general facility activities at site and working from blueprints or simple sketches</li> <li>Following safety protocols related to all work activities and attention to detail for filling permits and task lists</li> <li>Follow and complete work in line with policies and procedures</li> <li>Communicate clearly by email or in person to all supporting departments</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED is required; trade school is preferred</li> <li>Minimum 2 years of experience in working in a manufacturing environment; chemicals or other highly regulated industry in maintenance function</li> <li>A safety mindset and focus on producing quality products</li> <li>Experience in installations and repair of piping systems, including copper, stainless steel, PFA and Cast iron</li> <li>Experience in installation and repair of pumping systems, mechanical systems, hand and power tools</li> <li>Electrical systems knowledge (Understanding low voltages, relays, instrumentation etc.)</li> <li>Electrical NFPA 70E training and instrumentation</li> <li>Experience with Forklift, Scissor lift and Boom lifts</li> <li>Fire systems knowledge/experience is a plus</li> <li>Good communications skills; ability to clearly communicate to all levels in organization</li> <li>Ability to read, interpret and follow written job instructions, schematics and directions</li> <li>Ability to read and understand safety procedures, including OSHA standards and regulations</li> <li>Basic computer knowledge and user ability including database systems and other programs and applications used at location, with experience in MS Office Suite</li> <li>Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow through on assignments</li> <li>Understanding of general business concepts</li> <li>Must be able to work varying and/or rotating shifts</li> <li>Requires manual lifting of up to 50 lbs. capable of standing and kneeling for a duration of time.</li> </ul>
