We have an exciting opportunity at our Pueblo, CO facility for an&nbsp;<strong>Environmental Health &amp; Safety Manager!</strong></p> <p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p>The Environmental Health &amp; Safety Manager will lead safety and environmental programs at the Pueblo facility, driving improved safety performance through thorough and accurate incident reviews, implementing programs to increase safety awareness and compliance, and ensuring safety meetings and training are meaningful and engaging.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Develop, implement, and lead both safety and environmental programs.</li> <li>Provides overall management and strategic direction of the EHS team</li> <li>Initiate programs to raise safety awareness of employees to achieve and maintain an EHS culture that not only complies but sees value in EHS.</li> <li>Discuss safety concerns, participate in investigation of at-risk conditions, and make recommendations for improvement.</li> <li>Manage all environmental, health, and safety activities that are required by Federal, State, Provincial, and various local government entities.</li> <li>Ensure regulatory compliance and report improvement opportunities to top management.</li> <li>Provide environmental, health and safety training as required by company policy and regulatory authorities.</li> <li>Manage the site safety committees and related programs.</li> <li>Create, conduct, and assign area monthly safety inspections.</li> <li>Fully understand and maintain all environmental regulations, permits, and reporting,</li> <li>Understand, develop, follow, and enforce all appropriate EHS procedures.</li> <li>Implement safety policies and procedures.</li> <li>Interface with regulators as needed for normal business and inspections.</li> <li>Complete permit updates and submissions.</li> <li>Maintain information for and complete regulatory reports.</li> <li>Function as part of the FUJIFILM EHS community, coordinating programs with FUJIFILM Holdings and other sites, as assigned.</li> <li>Work with Site Quality Departments, FUJIFILM Holdings, and others to complete site and FUJIFILM Holdings compliance audits.</li> <li>Review and update health, safety, environmental, and EHS management system procedures through the document control system.</li> <li>Maintain training materials and provide EHS training.</li> <li>Update Emergency Response Plan and Hazardous Management Plan documentation. Prepare and submit updates to regulatory agencies on required time lines.</li> <li>Lead PHA, Management of Change, SETCO, and PSSR meetings and ensure EHS issues are recognized and addressed.</li> <li>Manage areas of EHS Management Systems.</li> <li>Calculate EHS, sustainability and GHG statistics, and prepare reports for regulators, customers, and FUJIFILM Holdings.</li> <li>Monitor and maintain basic safety programs, including, but not limited to industrial hygiene, medical surveillance, management of change, Process Safety Management, emergency response, contractor approval, Hazcom, hazardous waste disposal (RCRA), Laboratory Chemical Hygiene, and others, as needed.</li> <li>Close attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy required due to regulatory compliance reporting and documentation responsibilities.</li> <li>Perform other duties, as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Minimum of a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in an engineering, science, or EHS specialty.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise and direct EHS department personnel and to plan and execute EHS related projects. Must have a minimum of 5 years&rsquo; progressive management experience with a proven track record.</li> <li>Demonstrated EHS Program development and implementation.</li> <li>Experienced in chemical manufacturing.</li> <li>Minimum of 8 + years&rsquo; EHS job-related experience in a chemical handling environment.</li> <li>Familiarity with safety and environmental laws and regulations required.</li> <li>Experience in completing regulatory reports and sustainability metrics and reports required (Air emissions, Hazardous Waste, Tier II, TRI, etc.)</li> <li>Completion of a recognized environmental or safety professional certification program a plus.</li> <li>Auditor experience is a plus.</li> <li>The ability to effectively lead meetings with participants at all levels of the organization</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Computer skills: Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.</li> <li>The ability to learn new programs quickly. SAP and CompliantPro experience a plus.</li> <li>Expected travel - approximately 10 percent.</li> <li>Preferred: Active member of an EHS-related professional association.
