In this position you will work directly with dads using evidenced based curriculums to assist in engaging them in their child&rsquo;s life. You will support your clients by offering support, attending court, responding to crises and stabilizing family functioning. Responsibilities: <strong>Client Progress - Monitoring and Coaching (50%)</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Coach collaboratively &ndash; maintaining a balance between teaching and serving while advocating for the father&rsquo;s needs</li> <li>Visit each father on a routine and 'pop in' schedule in their homes or jail</li> <li>Assist fathers in achieving their goals while providing education &amp; support</li> <li>Address potential areas that may be perceived as barriers in father&rsquo;s having a more active role in the lives of their children</li> <li>Assist Fathers in gaining a better understanding of the DCS process and legal system</li> <li>Attend court with client and render recommendations</li> <li>Communicate with collaterals &amp; other service providers regarding case related matters</li> <li>Respond to crisis calls and manage those situations</li> <li>Facilitate visitation between fathers and their children</li> <li>Provide transportation as appropriate</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Service Plans / Goal Development (20%)</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Create treatment plans, including goals, for each father</li> <li>Update plans and goals on a routine basis</li> <li>Develop relationships with agencies in the community</li> <li>Work with other social welfare agencies, including DCS</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Intake and Needs Assessment (15%)</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Visit each dad to gather necessary information to complete required assessments &amp; genogram</li> <li>Follow Firefly Children &amp; Family Alliance professional standards</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Report (15%)</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Maintain case and agency paperwork according to standards</li> <li>Prepare written reports for the Department of Child Services / Probation office within identified timeframes</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in social work or related field is required.</li> <li>Must be at least 21 years of age</li> <li>A valid driver's license and insurance with no more than 6 points on driving record</li> <li>Passion for working with fathers and helping them navigate life</li> <li>Ability to travel between appointments to service clients within their community and in their homes</li> <li>Knowledgeable regarding social service systems within the state</li> <li>Knowledge of and adherence to current confidentiality practices</li> <li>Appreciation for and ability to respond to cultural differences</li> <li>Develop relevant networks of contacts</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong><em>At Firefly Children and Family Alliance, we are committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
