As one of our employees, you'll be able to directly make an impact on the lives of thousands of Indiana children, families, and adults.</strong></p> <p>Firefly Children &amp; Family Alliance is looking for a&nbsp;<strong>Community Navigator&nbsp;</strong>with&nbsp;<strong>Spanish</strong>&nbsp;language skills that will serve the Wayne County area. As a Community Navigator you will focus on bringing inclusive events, activities, and information to our newly built Family Resource Center. You are the first person a family will see when they arrive at our Family Resource Center. Position will work approximately 15-20 hours/week with some evenings and weekends required.<br /><br /></p> <h3 data-pm-slice="1 1 []">&nbsp;</h3>
Responsibilities: <strong>Case Management (70%)</strong> <ul> <li>Communicate with families that arrive at the FRC for service and assistance.</li> <li>Collaborate with community members to assist families.</li> <li>Oversee, connecting families to resources and providing informal support.</li> <li>Know community resources and connecting families to these resources.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Community Engagement and Outreach (30%)</strong> <ul> <li>Identify and maintain knowledge of resources in the community that provide family support and recreational activities.</li> <li>Represent the agency when promoting CPCS/SIF at events, meetings and other outreach activities.</li> <li>Coordinate events for the community with an emphasis on preventing child abuse and neglect. This could include events held on evenings and weekends.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Must be 21 years of age.</li> <li>Must have a HS Diploma or equivalent.</li> <li>Valid driver's license with valid insurance and no more than 6 points on driving record.</li> <li>Two years experience working directly with families in a human service field.</li> <li>Experience in child development.</li> <li>Understanding of and ability to work with the community.</li> <li>Motivated to ensure work quality meets established guidelines.</li> <li>Collaborative and interacts well with a broad spectrum of individuals.</li> <li>Demonstrate appreciation for and ability to respond to cultural differences.</li> </ul> <br /><br /> <h3><strong><em>At Firefly Children and Family Alliance, we are committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
