As one of our employees, you'll be able to directly make an impact on the lives of thousands of Indiana children, families, and adults.</strong></p> <p>Firefly Children &amp; Family Alliance is currently seeking a 2nd Shift&nbsp;<strong>Residential Team Leader</strong>&nbsp;at our Family Support Center shelter in Indianapolis. The Residential Team Leader will support the Shelter program, Shelter leadership, and the Teaching Specialists and will promote positive behavior changes for youth in the Shelter care facility through education of sound academic, social, and independent living skills.<br /><br /><strong>Firefly is also offering a 2K hiring bonus for this position!&nbsp;</strong>(Full-Time only. Subject to conditions)</p>
Responsibilities: <strong>Staff Guidance (60%)</strong> <ul> <li>Collaborate with all Shelter staff to achieve daily care of children in the Shelter.</li> <li>Consultation with program leadership regarding hiring, training, developing and holding staff accountable to program and service standards.</li> <li>Encourage a positive team environment that is supportive of staff with clear expectations.</li> <li>Coach staff on positive interactions with children while on the unit.</li> <li>Monitor a daily, structured routine that includes extra-curricular activities in and outside of the Shelter to promote healthy habits based on children's developmental needs.</li> <li>Oversee the coordination of child transportation for school, appointments, and in emergencies.</li> <li>Purposefully lead Teaching Specialists in using TFM procedures and prescribed systems to make progress on each youth's individualized behavior management plan.</li> <li>Diligently oversee medication administration according to agency policy and maintain medication logs.</li> <li>Meticulously maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the Shelter in compliance with regulations.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Resident Guidance (40%)</strong> <ul> <li>Provide support to children as outlined in each behavior care plan using the Teaching Family Model (TFM).</li> <li>Carefully manage the intake and discharge of children; oversee and document family contact with children.</li> <li>Urgently respond to crises by implementing appropriate verbal de-escalation techniques from the TFM or prescribed in an individualized behavior support plan.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Human Services field, Associate degree plus two years' experience, OR qualified experience with certificate in the Teaching Family Model.</li> <li>Previous leadership experience in a residential setting.</li> <li>You must be at least 21 years of age.</li> <li>Valid driver's license with valid insurance.</li> </ul> <br /> <h3 data-pm-slice="1 1 []"><strong><em>At Firefly Children and Family Alliance, we are committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
