Responsibilities: <p dir="LTR"><strong>Direct Advocacy Service (70%)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide direct advocacy services, in person and via other forms of communication, to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and stalking.</li> <li>Assess strengths and needs of clients using interview, case history, and observation techniques.</li> <li>Work with clients to determine, implement, and monitor action plan to address needs, including safety plan.</li> <li>Refer clients to community resources.</li> <li>Provide advocacy support via hospital response.</li> <li>Apply appropriate crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as required.</li> <li>Provide community education presentations and/or support groups to children, youth and adults on topics related to domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and stalking.</li> <li>Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding all client information.</li> </ul> <p dir="LTR"><strong><br />Indirect Advocacy Service (15%)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop a network of contacts and resources to use with clients.</li> <li>Conduct outreach to local organizations and communities to increase visibility of survivor services.</li> <li>Develop presentations, awareness programming, support group topics (as assigned).</li> <li>Develop knowledge on topics related to survivor services.</li> <li>Represent agency at community events or meetings to promote survivor services and advocate on behalf of survivors (as assigned).</li> <li>Support Advocacy Program Volunteers.</li> </ul> <p dir="LTR"><br /><strong>Reporting (15%)</strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintain accurate, complete, and timely case records of client contacts and referrals.</li> <li>Assist in keeping community referrals and resources information updated.</li> <li>Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation of work hours and schedule per agency standards.</li> <li>Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation of mileage and expenses per agency standards.</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor of Social Work or related field that includes a supervised practicum experience.</li> <li>Must be at least 21 years of age.</li> <li>Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance.</li> <li>Establish and maintain relationships.</li> <li>Capacity to work with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and stalking.</li> <li>Read, analyze and interpret policies and procedures.</li> <li>Problem solving skills.</li> <li>Clear, effective communications skills.</li> </ul> <br /><br /> <p class="FirstParagraph"><strong><em>At Firefly Children and Family Alliance, we are committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
