As one of our employees, you'll be able to directly impact the lives of thousands of Indiana children, families, and adults.</strong></p> <p>Firefly Children &amp; Family Alliance is hiring a regional coordinator to help find adoptive families for waiting children in foster care. Travel is required for this position, though only some days. Still, you may find yourself traveling in and around Indiana DCS Regions 8, 13, 16, 17, &amp; 18 (including Jeffersonville, Evansville, Terre Haute, Bloomington, Bedford, and Vincennes) and some weekend and evening availability. The amount and distance of travel will vary based on the outreach events being conducted.</p> <p>This ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise and enthusiasm for finding permanent homes for youth before they age out of foster care. Responsibilities: <p><strong>To successfully work with families and the community, you will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate an enthusiasm and eagerness to brainstorm new ideas for outreach and a desire to bring a balance of creative and measurable efforts to outreach activities.</li> <li>Proactively develop and cultivate relationships with organizations in the community to skillfully deliver educational information about adoptions.</li> <li>Plan and execute successful community events intended to raise awareness of the need for foster and adoptive families in Indiana, collaborating with local DCS offices, CASAs, and others as needed.</li> <li>Keep detailed, accurate notes and provide regular reporting on outreach efforts and results and recommendations for improvement.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>To successfully work with children &amp; teens who need permanent homes, you will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with team members to identify new and innovative approaches to finding a permanent family for the child.</li> <li>Ensure participating youth receive professional photography, a strengths-based child summary, and other materials that can be used with prospective families. Training on writing child summaries will be provided.</li> <li>Brainstorm &ldquo;out of the box&rdquo; ideas to identify potential families for waiting youth, including connecting with local organizations, mentor opportunities, and expanded digital outreach. These ideas will cater to the child&rsquo;s strengths, interests, and needs.</li> <li>Keep detailed, accurate notes and provide regular updates on the efforts of each of the youth you work with.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree, preferably in social work or directly related human services field.</li> <li>Some travel in and around Indiana DCS Regions 8, 13, 16, 17, &amp; 18 (including Jeffersonville, Evansville, Terre Haute, Bloomington, Bedford, and Vincennes), including some weekend and evening availability.</li> <li>At least 21 years of age, with a valid driver&rsquo;s license and insurance.</li> <li>Reliable internet access to work remotely.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication and people skills.</li> <li>Strong organizational and time management skills, including ability to multi-task and remain focused while working independently and as part of a team.</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to learn new databases and systems.</li> <li>Commitment to a high level of accuracy.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><br /> <div class="JobDetail-detail-10"> <div class="JobDetail-description-12"> <p><strong><em>At Firefly Children and Family Alliance, we are committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
