Part-Time | Hybrid: some on-site work required

As one of our employees, you'll be able to directly make an impact on the lives of thousands of Indiana children, families, and adults from day one.</strong></p> <p>Firefly Children &amp; Family Alliance is currently seeking a part-time&nbsp;<strong>Family Support Specialist&nbsp;</strong>in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In this role, you will work to provide guidance, direction and documentation of visitation for the families you will serve. You will be exposed to the Department of Children Services and the court system on occasion. You must be comfortable working evening shifts, with a minimum commitment of four nights per week, and be willing and able to transport clients of all ages using their personal vehicle.</p>
Responsibilities: <strong>Family Progress - Monitoring and Coaching (70%)</strong> <ul> <li>Complete all required documentation.</li> <li>Oversee visits between children and their parents in our visitation offices or community.</li> <li>Help schedule visits.</li> <li>Coach collaboratively &ndash; maintaining a balance between teaching and serving.</li> <li>Provide education and support to youth/families.</li> <li>Assist youth/families in achieving their goals.</li> <li>Attend all required meetings.</li> <li>It is understood that each employee follows and follows the professional standards as outlined by your perspective professional degree, license or agency policy.</li> <li>Perform any other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the immediate supervisor.</li> <li>Communicate with multiple institutions related to youth/family matters.</li> <li>Provide transportation to youth/families.</li> <li>Attend court with clients and render recommendations.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Service Plans/Goal Development (15%)</strong> <ul> <li>Create goals for each family.</li> <li>Review goals when needed.</li> <li>Work with other social welfare agencies.</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Reporting (15%)</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Maintain case and agency paperwork according to standards.</li> <li>Prepare written reports for the Department of Child Services/Probation office within identified time frames.</li> </ul>
