Overview: The&nbsp;<strong>Solutions Engineer (SE)</strong>&nbsp;is responsible for supporting market sales teams in acquiring new business. The SE will work closely with sales representative&rsquo;s customers and prospects in providing technical guidance and developing solutions to customer&rsquo;s problems. Support will include: discovery and definition of customer requirements, design and pricing of customer application solutions, assisting in customer presentations, approving all contracted sales from a design and engineering standpoint, interfacing with local and central service delivery and operations personnel to ensure a smooth hand off of all sales orders. The Solutions Engineer will support Flexential's solution selling methodology as the subject matter expert.
Responsibilities: <p dir="LTR"><strong>Pre-Sales Engineering:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Technical leadership with customers and prospects for pre-sales engineering</li> <li>Discovery of customer&rsquo;s critical business issues and requirements</li> <li>Solution design to meet customer requirements</li> <li>Participation in and assistance with sales process and closure (solution selling)</li> <li>Assisting in customer presentations</li> <li>Ensuring accurate pricing of complex sales proposals and assist in RFP responses</li> <li>Coordination of additional support as necessary for sales opportunities; and participation in solution selling</li> </ul> <p dir="DEFAULT">&nbsp;</p> <p dir="LTR"><strong>Service Delivery and Customer Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>On-boarding and smooth transition from sales</li> <li>Quality assurance for solutions delivered</li> <li>Assistance with backlog management</li> <li>Responsibility for customer <span class="WDQ2">implementations/provisioning</span></li> <li>Building strong customer relationships and customer satisfaction</li> </ul> <p dir="DEFAULT">&nbsp;</p> <p dir="LTR"><strong>Technical Leadership:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Interface with local and central Managed Services, Operations, Marketing, Support and Service Delivery organizations</li> <li>Industry awareness - continually seeking industry and market information to provide Flexential with information necessary for successful business development</li> <li>Providing ongoing training to Flexential's sales organization</li> <li>Recommending services and pricing improvements with all Flexential's services; acting as liaison with local partners to enhance Flexential's solution and service delivery; training/mentoring - promoting the</li> <li>Professional growth of the team</li> <li>Ensuring Flexential's visibility to the local and regional market/community</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree preferred</li> <li>A minimum of 3 years relevant technical complex I/T Sales Engineering experience</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to call on C-Level Executives and Engineers</li> <li>Demonstrated track record of success earning new business</li> <li>Demonstrated experience providing excellence in customer support</li> </ul>
