Overview: <p dir="LTR">Our Professional Services division is currently seeking a Solutions Architect. The Solutions Engineer will be responsible for providing pre-sales technical expertise for Flexential Professional Services to Flexential customers and prospects.</p> <p dir="LTR">Flexential Professional Services (FPS) is a consulting division providing infrastructure and cybersecurity transformation services. We help mid- to enterprise-sized organizations mature and improve their IT operations and cyber security posture through assessment, architecture, and design/build engagements.</p> <p dir="LTR">This role supports the sales and account management teams through direct interaction with prospects on calls and occasional in-person meetings. &nbsp;</p> <p dir="LTR">The successful candidate will have a broad background in system administration, IT operations and enterprise IT infrastructure including virtualization, networking, storage, and cybersecurity.</p> <p dir="LTR">This position will work in an advisory sales capacity soliciting and understanding customer needs, identify potential solutions, and effectively communicating how identified solutions will help solve customer challenges.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Support the Flexential sales teams by actively managing technical pre-sales assistance requests for Flexential Professional Services.</li> <li>Attend qualified sales calls and meetings (some travel will be required from time to time) to identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate services that fulfill those needs.</li> <li>Triage inbound pre-sales requests from account teams to determine whether standard offerings or custom solutions are necessary.</li> <li>Quote and represent standard solution offerings, describing to customers how the proposed solutions will address their needs.</li> <li>Identify cases where custom solutions are required and engage appropriate subject matter experts for further technical pre-sales assistance.</li> <li>Keep current on all core product offerings and industry trends &amp; technologies</li> <li>Provide feedback to and collaborate with FPS practice leads on the development of new standard offerings</li> <li>Provide technical sales training to sales and marketing staff when required</li> <li>Perform other duties as required and assigned</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree</li> <li>5-10 years B2B Sales and/or support in IT industry</li> <li>Ability to travel, as required, working with all levels of the organization, sales team, customers and channel partners to support business development efforts.</li> <li>Must be technical, team-oriented, and have a documented path of success and contribution to a growing business in the consulting or managed IT services field</li> <li>Must have the ability to grasp complex technical issues and clearly and simply translate them into non-technical solutions that address and solve the underlying business need</li> <li>Must be detail oriented, organized, driven, and have excellent communication skills.</li> <li>Strong working knowledge of Windows and Linux</li> <li>Strong working knowledge of cloud platforms and hypervisor technologies (i.e. VMware, AWS, Hyper-V, Azure, Google Compute Platform)</li> <li>Strong working knowledge of x86 enterprise server hardware</li> <li>Working knowledge of Firewalls, Load Balancers, Switches</li> <li>Working knowledge of security and disaster recovery best practices</li> <li>High-energy individual with a positive attitude, good teamwork skills and exceptional customer presentation experience.</li> <li>Credible &ndash; customers and prospects feel the SE truly understands their needs and can understand their questions and offer plausible solutions.&nbsp;</li> <li>Self-directed, self-motivated and <span class="WFQ2">accomplishment-oriented</span> &ndash; possesses the drive and determination to succeed.</li> <li>Persistent but pragmatic: willing to be flexible and adaptable to change.</li> <li>Quick on feet &ndash; can address the challenges presented during sales conversation.</li> <li>Easily adaptable to a fast-paced business environment</li> </ul> <p dir="LTR"><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to work in an office environment</li> <li>Ability to use the computer key board for extended periods of time</li> <li>After hours networking and customer interaction required</li> <li>Travel may be required</li> </ul>
