Overview: <p dir="LTR">Our company is in search of a highly collaborative, forward-leaning and results-oriented leader to join our People &amp; Culture (P&amp;C) team. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, the Director Total Rewards will serve as a member of the P&amp;C Leadership Team and be instrumental for designing and implementing Flexential&rsquo;s Total Rewards and Performance Management strategies. The Director of Total Rewards will be responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of all aspects of the Compensation, Benefits, and HRIS functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an understanding of market dynamics, mastery of compensation and benefit plan designs, and have an affinity towards rapid innovation with an emphasis on attracting, retaining and rewarding employees while maintaining internal equity and external market competitiveness. Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, strong work ethic and the desire to find solutions when presented with challenges are key attributes for success in this position.&nbsp;</p> <p dir="LTR">We are looking for a skilled leader who can be based in either our Denver, CO or Charlotte, NC office and must be open to some travel (10-15%). Responsibilities: <p dir="LTR"><u>Lead Compensation function in the following areas: </u></p> <ul> <li> <p dir="LTR">Establish compensation strategies while ensuring that all compensation and reward programs and practices are in alignment with the with the company&rsquo;s culture and business goals.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Identify opportunities to make compensation activities/processes more streamlined and efficient while ensuring they are competitive in the marketplace to support recruitment, engagement and talent retention.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">As appropriate, proactively educate leaders, HR and colleagues on compensation strategy, practices and benchmarks.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Lead the evaluation of positions and the application of existing job classifications, assignment of job levels, salary ranges and FLSA status. Make recommendations for revisions and/or changes.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Partner with FP&amp;A on the salary planning processes including, but not limited to, merit, promotion and market pay adjustment budgets to maintain the company&rsquo;s competitive market position.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Direct the market benchmarking process and recommend changes in the pay structure as needed; oversee all activities related to analysis of market trends and market competitive pay positions to ensure pay structure meets overall company goals and objectives.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Direct compensation team by providing oversight, leadership and directions to support business leaders and employees</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Ensure the compensation review processes, such as merit, promotion, etc. are administered accurately and efficiently</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="DEFAULT">&nbsp;</p> <p dir="LTR"><u>Lead Benefits function in the following areas: </u></p> <ul> <li> <p dir="LTR">Establish strategy for benefits and continuously evaluate all benefits plans to ensure they are cost effective, competitive to retain high quality talent, and meet the needs of the organization and employees.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Regularly analyze benefit offerings, evaluating the usage, plan design, services, coverage, effectiveness, cost, plan experience and competitive trends, and make appropriate short and long-term recommendations.</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <p dir="LTR">Direct the administration of all benefit plans in compliance with applicable laws and regulations; guide benefits team on routine audits to ensure benefits are administered consistently and qualified under applicable tax codes if applicable.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Proactively plan and roll out benefit communications to enhance employees&rsquo; understanding of benefit plan coverage and costs; plan and direct annual benefit open enrollment process including communications to employees about any benefit plan changes, revising benefit materials, setting up any new vendors, and updating configuration and integrations in the HRIS as needed.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Establish and maintain relationships with external service providers to ensure services are delivered as contracted and expected level of quality.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Provide excellent customer service to support employees; assist employees as needed to resolve disputes with service providers and vendors; partner with the Payroll/Finance team to ensure benefit deductions are accurately and budgeted and administered.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Work with the company&rsquo;s external benefits consultant to analyze and evaluate plan renewals for cost effectiveness, negotiate for improved services and offerings to maintain the company&rsquo;s Total Rewards competitive position.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Ensure all plan documents and Summary Plan Descriptions (SPD) are complete and updated; Form 5500 filings are filed accurately and timely; required notices are distributed to employees; lead efforts to prepare and perform discrimination testing and oversee annual plan audits.</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="DEFAULT">&nbsp;</p> <p dir="LTR"><u>Lead HR Operations &amp; HRIS functions in the following areas: </u></p> <ul> <li> <p dir="LTR">Develop policy and practices to administer leaves of absence effectively and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations; manage workers&rsquo; compensation claims with insurance carrier. Provide oversight for the onboarding of new hires process, ensuring effectiveness and efficiency for new hires, hiring managers and P&amp;C.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Manage relationship with background check vendor for compliance with laws and regulations; ensure any special requirements per contractual agreements with certain customers are followed such as fingerprinting and annual background recheck.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Provide leadership and directions to the HRIS team on strategic plan and governance for system optimization as well as day-to-day support and configuration issues.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions; ensures compliance with policies, procedures and reporting requirements including, but not limited to, EEO-1, VETS, and AAP; maintain up to date employment law postings at all company locations with employees assigned.</p> </li> <li> <p dir="LTR">Perform other duties as required and assigned.</p> </li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>10 years related HR experience with at least 5 years specifically in benefits and compensation design and management or equivalent combination of education and experience</li> <li>Knowledgeable in employment laws affecting employee benefits, compensation, and leave of absence</li> <li>Excellent communicator, strong leadership with the ability to influence and persuade across all levels of the organization</li> <li>Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, poise, tact and diplomacy to accomplish objectives</li> <li>Solid interpersonal, project management and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly present recommendations and summarize complex issues or ideas</li> <li>Ability to build, coach and motivate high performing teams that are accountable for delivering expected results</li> <li>Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines</li> <li>Highly organized with strong analytical judgment, business and financial acumen</li> <li>High standard of integrity and ethics</li> <li>Customer-focused, innovative and results-driven</li> </ul> <br /><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong><br /><br /> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resource Management, Business or related field</li> <li>SPHR or PHR certification or equivalent</li> <li>CCP and CEBS certifications</li> <li>Experience with Workday as an HRIS</li> </ul>
