Overview: <p lang="EN-US"><strong><span lang="EN-US">Position Overview: </span></strong><span lang="EN-US">The St. Petersburg Anchor Institutions Initiative has an ambitious mission, and therefore seeks a self-driven executive to lead and influence this Initiative through its development and beyond, and to design and direct strategies that support this complex collaboration.&nbsp;The Executive Director will be the public face of the Initiative and a part of a small team responsible for facilitating the Anchor Initiative&rsquo;s work forward, supporting day-to-day communications, day-to-day administration, community engagement, data functions and the imagination and perseverance that must characterize such a collaborative effort.</span></p> <p lang="EN-US">&nbsp;</p> <p lang="EN-US"><strong><span lang="EN-US">Organizational Overview: </span></strong><span lang="EN-US">Initially, the FHSP invited health anchors, which are among the most significant employers in the region &ndash; Bayfront, Johns Hopkins All Children&rsquo;s, and St Anthony&rsquo;s. In addition, the initial partnership includes the City of St Petersburg which has demonstrated a commitment to race equity. The idea is to create a focused effort that would leverage the economic capital of these three hospitals and the city in order to reduce racial disparities.&nbsp; This approach has an intensive emphasis on south St Petersburg&rsquo;s predominantly African American populations</span><span lang="EN-US">.</span> &nbsp;</p> <p lang="EN-US"><span lang="EN-US">In concert with the Initiative partners, the Executive Director will generate the vision for how this Anchor effort can impact the race equity in St Petersburg and will provide day-to-day support and facilitation of the St. Petersburg Anchor Institutions Initiative effort. Overall, the Executive Director will maintain an understanding of current implementation challenges and develop comprehensive solutions to address them.</span>&nbsp;</p>
Responsibilities: <p><span lang="EN-US">Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:</span>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li><span lang="EN">Establish effective working relationships with members of the Initiative Governance Committee and Working Group participants.</span></li> <li><span lang="EN">Develop communications materials as the St Petersburg Anchor Institutions Initiative evolves, potentially including summary documents, brochures, FAQs, and other items.</span></li> <li><span lang="EN">Facilitate and manage the creation of quarterly and annual summary reports of the Initiative progress for Governance Committee and external audiences</span>&nbsp;</li> <li><span lang="EN">Work with FHSP Chief Equity Officer and Senior Consultant to coordinate with other related projects and coalitions to maintain a full understanding of the current landscape of local and regional activities and integrating their work into Governance Committee and Working Group processes</span>&nbsp;.</li> <li>Create communications strategies in concert with Anchor Initiative assets.</li> <li><span lang="EN">Develop and maintain relationships with community partners .</span>&nbsp;</li> <li><span lang="EN">Organize systems of timely notices for community partners regarding upcoming events, and following-up as needed.</span>&nbsp;</li> <li><span lang="EN">Develop program strategies and action plans with Initiative partners to align strategies and actions, including conducting individual outreach and education as needed.</span>&nbsp;</li> <li><span lang="EN">Proactively build and maintain relationships with Initiative and community partners</span>&nbsp;</li> <li><span lang="EN">Generate, plan and manage logistics of Initiative meetings and events</span>&nbsp;</li> <li><span lang="EN">Communicate the objectives of the Anchors Initiative to the Initiative partners, community and potential partners</span>&nbsp;</li> <li><span lang="EN">Facilitate ongoing communication between partners by coordinating regular conference calls, in-person meetings, or coordinating regular email updates to ensure alignment of activity</span>&nbsp;</li> </ul> <span lang="EN">The following duties may be done in coordination with FHSP communications resources:</span>&nbsp;<br /> <ul> <li><span lang="EN">Develop and implement web and social media strategy</span>&nbsp;</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree with strong experience in relevant work (8+ years). Graduate degree preferred. A combination of relevant education and experience would be considered.</li> <li>Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with senior executives</li> <li>The presence to inspire confidence and passion in external audiences and to build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders</li> <li>Existing relationships with, or ability to build relationships with, a cross-sectoral range of stakeholders in the local area, including residents and senior executives</li> <li>Ability to thrive in a fluid, unstructured, entrepreneurial environment without formal training</li> <li>Flexibility and the ability to work autonomously as well as work within a collaboration with multiple high-profile organizations.</li> <li>Demonstrated understanding of Race Equity conversations.</li> <li>A comprehensive understanding of the social determinants of health is strongly preferred.</li> <li>Charisma to lead, heart to listen, and intelligence to discern highest and best use of the Center in the delivery of the Foundation&rsquo;s mission impact.</li> <li>Leadership skills to create and lead projects.</li> <li>Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.</li> <li>Superior communication and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Commitment and understanding of collaborations and how to move them to impact.</li> <li>Demonstrated skills and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.</li> <li>Proven ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.</li> <li>Ability to respond quickly to change.</li> <li>Ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and external clients.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively under stressful conditions.</li> <li>Experience in a start-up environment.</li> <li>Familiarity with the local area and/or focus of the initiative.</li> </ul>
