Overview: <p><span lang="EN-US">The Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg (the Foundation) has a bold mission to achieve health equity through race equity. We advance anti-racist practices and policies to improve the lives of all Pinellas County residents, and our employees are passionate about this shared purpose.</span></p> <p><span lang="EN-US">The Research and Evaluation (R&amp;E) Associate will serve as a member of the Learning Team. The Learning Team is responsible for research, evaluation, and learning initiatives of the Foundation, including funded projects and programs. The R&amp;E Associate will support overall organizational learning through data analysis, literature reviews, written reports, and other research and evaluation activities. The R&amp;E Associate will be responsible for handling multiple evaluation and research projects at a time and be responsive to both internal and external evaluation needs.</span></p> <p><span lang="EN-US">The ideal candidate for this position is a determined and creative problem solver with a passion for social justice and a commitment to using research and evaluation in the service of race equity. In addition, the candidate is detail-oriented and knows how to manage competing deadlines.</span></p> <p><span lang="EN-US">The R&amp;E Associate reports to the Research and Evaluation Manager and collaborates with other members of the Foundation team, as well as with external partners.</span></p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li> <p><strong><span lang="EN-US">Internal and External Evaluation</span></strong><span lang="EN-US"><strong>:</strong> Work with the Research and Evaluation Manager to create evaluation plans for both internal use and with funded partners. Evaluation planning includes identifying key evaluation questions, mapping out theories of change, outlining key indicators, developing outcomes, and choosing appropriate evaluation frameworks and tools. Primary evaluation responsibilities will also include:</span>&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p><strong><span lang="EN-US">Research Tool Development</span></strong><span lang="EN-US"><strong>:</strong> Select or d</span><span lang="EN-US">esign appropriate culturally relevant research and evaluation tools for both internal and external projects. Includes creating surveys and other tools for Center for Health Equity events.</span>&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p><strong><span lang="EN-US">Data Collection:</span></strong><span lang="EN-US"> Collect and manage both qualitative and quantitative data across Foundation projects, including Center for Health Equity events, for internal evaluation, external evaluation, and research studies.</span>&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p><strong><span lang="EN-US">Data Analysis</span></strong><span lang="EN-US"><strong>:</strong> Conduct statistical analysis of programmatic data.</span>&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p><strong><span lang="EN-US">Literature Reviews:</span></strong><span lang="EN-US"> Conduct literature reviews on relevant research to support ongoing Foundation and funded projects. Collaborate with other staff members to translate research and evaluation findings into digestible and understandable communications for dissemination to diverse audiences.</span>&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><span lang="EN-US">Also expected to...</span>&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p><span lang="EN-US">Data integrity.</span><span lang="EN-US"> Ensure Foundation data is accurate and updated for areas related to role, including but not limited to the Foundation&rsquo;s CRM, grantmaking system, and project management system.</span>&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p><span lang="EN-US">Special projects and other responsibilities</span><span lang="EN-US">: The Foundation has a small and nimble staff which supports each other&rsquo;s work across departmental lines. Staff are expected to assist team members during peak periods as needed. </span>&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li> <p><span lang="EN-US">Master&rsquo;s degree in psychology, sociology, public health, health sciences or a related field preferred OR a bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience working in a research or evaluation-related position.</span>&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p><span lang="EN-US">Experience in equitable evaluation, culturally responsive evaluation, community-based participatory research, and related frameworks.</span>&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p><span lang="EN-US">Experience with research methods, as well as research and evaluation study design</span>&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p><span lang="EN-US">Experience with survey development and administration and survey analysis</span>&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p><span lang="EN-US">Experience with report design and writing</span>&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p><span lang="EN-US">Strong oral and written communication skills, specifically the ability to present analytical information to supervisors, funded partners, and other stakeholders in a concise, understandable way</span>&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p><span lang="EN-US">Ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment. Possesses strong critical thinking skills with an ability to find new ways of solving old problems.</span>&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p><span lang="EN-US">Proven ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.</span>&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p><span lang="EN-US">Able to organize, prioritize multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a time-sensitive environment.</span>&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p><span lang="EN-US">Software proficiency:</span>&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p><span lang="EN-US">Required</span><span lang="EN-US">: Demonstrated skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications.
