Overview: <p>As the lead retrofit technician, your job starts at the shop each day. You and your apprentice review job paperwork and load parts and equipment needed for the day. Upon arriving you greet the customer, explain the process, and lay down rubber mats and drop cloths to protect the customer's property.</p> <p>Then you begin the safe removal of existing equipment and retrofit the new equipment to manufacturer's specifications and applicable city codes. You are responsible for the leak test, evacuation, and commissioning of the new equipment. Then you will walk the customer through the job, explain the functions and operations, completing all of the paperwork, and collection of payment if required. Responsibilities: <p><strong>Primary Job Function</strong>:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for primarily installing HVAC equipment, transitions, ducts, and fittings.</li> <li>Work to ensure completion while efficiently managing labor hours, as outlined by the Home Comfort Advisor and Retrofit Installation Supervisor.</li> <li>Maintain required levels of truck stock items.</li> <li>Effectively train Retrofit Install Apprentices.</li> <li>Work closely with Installation Supervisor primarily,</li> <li>Home Comfort Advisor Teams, and Service Manager on ideas for increasing the quality of the install and reducing the cost of installation.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints and make accurate material lists.</li> <li>Advanced diagnostic, repair and provide planned maintenance on a wide range of residential and light commercial equipment without supervision.</li> <li>Excellent customer services skills.</li> </ul>
