Overview: As the Director of Risk and Analysis, you will be responsible for identifying, measuring and managing insurable risks and overseeing the implementation of risk solutions that optimize operations and minimize risk to the Company. You will collaborate with internal business units, as well as external brokers and underwriters, to identify exposures to loss and develop programs to eliminate or minimize the impact of loss on the Company. A successful candidate in this role will have demonstrated experience with claims management, subrogation and settlement negotiations, possess excellent financial acumen with analytical ability, well-developed critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Responsibilities: <UL><LI>Responsible for oversight and management of Company’s risk management and insurance programs for lines of coverage, including but not limited to, General Liability, Property, Worker’s Compensation, Cyber Liability, Management Liability (D&O, EPL, Fiduciary and Crime) and Marine Cargo policies.</LI><LI>Develop risk management best practices to reduce Company’s total cost of risk.</LI><LI>Serve as liaison between Company and its insurance companies and brokers.</LI><LI>Manage all renewal and application processes including marketing coverage, managing insurance limits, retentions and premiums and coordinating and collecting information required to support the renewal or application for coverage. </LI><LI>Provide expert guidance to internal stakeholders on insurance and risk matters. </LI><LI>Review proposed contracts for all levels of insurance coverage and recommend changes in coverage and terms as necessary.</LI><LI>Coordinate with business units, legal and other functions to ensure timely and appropriate settlement of claims.</LI><LI>Determine annual allocation of total cost of insurance coverage’s across business units.</LI><LI>Develop, prepare and present financial and trend reports to various stakeholders.</LI><LI>Develop and administer risk-management and loss-prevention programs.</LI><LI>Research, evaluate and make recommendations regarding trends in risk management, safety and risk financing.</LI><LI>Enhance practices, procedures and processes for the Company in alignment with the Company’s Enterprise Risk Management objectives.</LI></UL>
Requirements: Experience and Skills You’ll Need to Have <UL><LI>Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance and risk management</LI><LI>Working knowledge of insurance concepts, policies and practices across commercial lines of insurance</LI><LI>Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Risk Management (MBA+)</LI></UL>
