We have an amazing culture that fosters opportunities for growth, excellent benefits, great pay, a hybrid work model, and are Great Place to Work Certified.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>How Will You Make An impact?</strong></p> <p>The Senior Software Engineer will be tasked to solve Glaukos&rsquo; most technical problems and develop creative, innovative software solutions. You will design and build devices and cloud software to support our current- and next-generation therapeutic devices. A key contributor to our team, you will work in a highly collaborative environment alongside other disciplines, such as quality, regulatory, clinical professionals, and scientists. This role will play a key role in Glaukos&rsquo; efforts to develop, deploy and maintain code that powers best-in-class medical devices for markets across the world.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Software design and implementation of Glaukos&rsquo; current and next-generation medical devices.</li> <li>Software design and implementation of Glaukos&rsquo; production software tools.</li> <li>Write detailed design documentation and assist in generating clear, concise, testable requirements.</li> <li>Research and assessment of new tools, techniques, and software for leverage in device software or group processes.</li> <li>Design and execute lab tests, review, and report on test results.</li> <li>Present and support design resolutions to the cross-functional teams.</li> <li>Advise management during project planning phases and technical processes.</li> <li>Mentor junior engineers on technical issues.</li> <li>Work closely with the SWQA team to investigate and resolve issues during testing.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>A minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a similar technical field.</li> <li>5+ years of progressive and hands-on experience designing and developing commercial system software for Linux and Windows.</li> <li>5+ years of experience in software engineering, algorithm design, and large-scale system design.</li> <li>Knowledge of one or more systems programming languages such as C++, C#, Rust, and their associated development environments.</li> <li>Build multi-threaded applications.</li> <li>Design patterns, architecture patterns, and OO designs.</li> <li>Network and socket programming.</li> <li>Product development &ndash; concept through commercialization.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Additional Skills Preferred:</strong></p> <ul> <li>REST and RPC</li> <li>Hybrid or Remote infrastructure (containerization, deployment, etc.). &nbsp;</li> <li>Cloud technology (AWS, Azure, etc.)</li> <li>Git software.</li> <li>Class II medical devices software.</li> <li>Experience with IoT OS flavors.</li> <li>Python and other high-level language experience.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Generous.
