Overview: <p>The Senior Epic Application Analyst will be responsible for leading the Epic application design, build, testing, training, support, and project management. Manage the communications, expectations and deliverables between Epic workgroups/councils, internal IT teams, external stakeholders and vendors in support of GVHC HealthIT (HIT) systems. This role operates in close coordination with the IT leadership, HIT application and training, IT service desk and IT engineering teams; and functions in a leadership capacity for the Epic Application Analyst I and Epic Application Analyst II.</p> <p>Schedule is Monday &ndash; Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;Golden Valley Health Centers offers excellent benefits including Medical: (0 Deductible / $2,000 Individual; $4,000 Family Out-of-Pocket Max), excellent PPO coverages; Dental; Vision; 403(b) with match, FSA plans, gym discounts, and so much more!</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Act as the primary support contact for assigned application's end‐users.</li> <li>Maintain knowledge of assigned Epic and other HIT application(s) configuration management and act as subject matter expert on application(s) functionality.</li> <li>Manage support requests through IT Service Management software. Prioritize, track and resolve end-user support requests with a sense of urgency, problem solve escalated tasks.</li> <li>Assume ownership, escalate and manage support requests to Epic and internal IT teams.</li> <li>Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for assigned application(s).</li> <li>Lead GVHC Epic workgroups and councils to determine future needs and requirements.</li> <li>Be a training resource for Epic Application Analyst I and II.</li> <li>Review the work of Epic Application Analyst I and II to ensure usage of Epic and organizational best practices.</li> <li>Review the status of projects and issues on ongoing basis with organization leadership; ensure project timelines are adhered to and implement plans of action as necessary.</li> <li>Lead and manage Epic and HIT projects as assigned</li> <li>Hold weekly communications with team members to discuss the status of deliverables, shared issues, end-user concerns, budget and upcoming milestones.</li> <li>Provide on-site support and issues triage/resolution for clinics during implementation and specifically when practices &ldquo;go live&rdquo; on Epic application(s).</li> <li>Obtain and maintain Epic certifications and badges as needed by the organization.</li> <li>Maintain knowledge of applicable data privacy and security practices and regulations.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></p> <ul> <li>The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.</li> <li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.</li> <li>Must be able to hear staff on the phone and those who are served in-person, and speak clearly in order to communicate information to clients and staff.</li> <li>Must be able to have vision that is adequate to read memos, a computer screen, and administrative documents.</li> <li>Must have high manual dexterity.</li> <li>Must be able to squat and sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, twist, turn, finer and feel.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Work Environment:</strong></p> <p>The physical environment requires the employee to work indoors, primarily in an office setting. The noise level inside is quiet to average. Use of general office equipment is required on a daily basis. Travel may be required at times.<br /><br /></p> <p><strong>Education/Experience Requirements:</strong></p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Excellent business analysis, requirement gathering, problem solving and root-cause analysis skills.</li> <li>Excellent organization and time management skills.</li> <li>Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines and high degree of complexity.</li> <li>Ability to assume sole and independent responsibility for various assigned projects and tasks.</li> <li>Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to significant matters.</li> <li>Ability to map out a sequence of work and manage a project from inception to completion.</li> <li>Excellent facilitation, negotiation and consensus building skills.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with people with different backgrounds.</li> <li>Ability to work on several projects simultaneously.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Education/Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li> <li>Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of six (6) years of IT analyst/support experience in lieu of a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree.</li> <li>Knowledge of clinical area or business area to be supported highly preferred.</li> <li>Minimum six (6) years of work experience, supporting enterprise application systems required.</li> <li>Six (6) years&rsquo; experience working with EHR preferred.</li> <li>Must obtain certification in assigned Epic application within three (3) months of employment.</li> <li>Epic certification must be continuously maintained.</li> </ul>
