Overview: <p>Operates the dish washing machine, keeps the kitchen and other areas of the dining room in a clean and orderly condition.&nbsp; Assists in any other area of the dining room and hotel as directed.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li> <p>Responsible for the operation and cleanliness of the dish washing machine.</p> </li> <li> <p>Responsible for washing of all china, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and other items used in the restaurant, kitchen and banquet department.</p> </li> <li> <p>Responsible for breakdown of all boxes, emptying trash containers into the dumpster and cleaning all containers.</p> </li> <li> <p>Cleans walls in kitchen as appropriate, especially in dish room areas.&nbsp; Cleans floor mats, sweeps and mops entire kitchen floor daily.&nbsp; Assists in cleaning of ovens and refrigerators.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ensures that the dish machine is reading at the appropriate temperature so that all items will be properly sanitized.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ensures that the floor is kept dry and free of debris at all times.</p> </li> <li> <p>Assists with unloading shipments, dating items, and putting items away.</p> </li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;Performs all other duties deemed necessary by management.</p> Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry and report deadlines, employee may be required to work varying schedules to meet the business needs of the hotel
Requirements: SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY <br />The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using another combination of skills and abilities. <br /><br /> <ul> <li>Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions</li> <li>Demonstrated willingness to assist others</li> <li>Must be able to bend, lift,&nbsp;twist, stoop, push, pull at least&nbsp;50 lbs and stand for an 8 hour shift.</li> <li>Must be able to stock items on shelves above eye level</li> <li>Must be able to manage time/working pace effectively</li> <li>Must be able to work evenings, including weekends and holidays</li> <li></li> </ul> QUALIFICATIONS<br />Grooming: All employees must comply with appearance and grooming policy<br /><br />Note: The hotel functions seven (7) days a week and twenty-four (24) hours per day.
