Associate

Overview: To maintain the guestrooms:&nbsp; Cleans and returns vacant dirty rooms to a vacant ready status and occupied dirty rooms to an occupied room status. Cleaning includes lighting fixtures, ceilings and vents, walls, mattresses, furniture, windows and window coverings, floors and carpets. Will receive inspections by manager and must correct any deficiencies noted.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Keep cart stocked and organized. Assists with special cleaning projects and in laundry when needed.</li> <li>Completes maintenance requests as needed for items which need repair.</li> <li>Ability to interact with guests in a friendly, courteous, and helpful manner. Reports any guest complaints to manager immediately.</li> <li>Timely reports and returns Lost and Found items for proper processing.</li> <li>Has a thorough knowledge of emergency and life safety procedures, and follows all key control procedures.</li> <li>Provides the highest quality of service to guests at all times and practices each item on the Pyramid Hotel Group pledge card.</li> <li>Wears proper uniform and name tag at all times in accordance with the standards of personal appearance guidelines in the Pyramid Hotel Group handbook.</li> <li>Performs all other duties deemed necessary by management.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry and report deadlines, employee may be required to work varying schedules to meet the business needs of the hotel <br />
Requirements: SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY <br />The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using another combination of skills and abilities. <br /><br /> <ul> <li>Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions and put tasks in order</li> <li>Demonstrated meticulous attention to detail</li> <li>Demonstrated willingness to assist others and provide customer service to hotel guests.</li> <li>Must be able to bend, twist, lift, stoop, push, pull at least 25 lbs and stand for an 8 hour shift.</li> <li>Must be able to manage time/working pace effectively</li> <li>Must have open availability including weekends and holidays</li> </ul> QUALIFICATIONS<br />Education: High School diploma or GED preferred<br />Experience:Six (6) months cleaning in a fast paced environment experience preferred. <br />Grooming: All employees must comply with appearance and grooming policy<br /><br />Note: The hotel functions seven (7) days a week and twenty-four (24) hours per day.&nbsp;
