Overview: <p>Role Summary/Purpose:<br /> <br />The Inside Sales Engineer will be responsible for various aspects of Sales, Commercial Operations, Pricing, &amp; Marketing coupled with intensive systems, product and leadership training. You will focus on mastering systems and product knowledge, while learning the skills and competencies needed to become an outside Sales Engineer. In addition, you will be required to maintain strong, productive working relationships with account managers, electrical contractors, end users, &amp; channel partners.</p>
Responsibilities: <p>As the Inside Sales Engineer, you will:</p> <ul> <li>Reviews project specifications</li> <li>Prepare proposal for the customers</li> <li>Oversees and monitors project activities and deliverables for timely completion</li> <li>Schedule adherence &amp; cost control, while ensuring project deliverables meet project requirements, including post-sales support.</li> <li>Identifies problem areas or concerns and resolves these issues as needed</li> <li>Gain an extensive knowledge of the power distribution industry</li> <li>Works with the sales and manufacturing teams to execute projects within technical, cost and schedule requirements</li> <li>Reviews required documentation deliverables.</li> <li>Commits to project schedules and budgets and provides status documentation on projects.</li> <li>Reviews project activities and identifies potential change order or scope modifications as necessary.</li> <li>Develops and modifies project budget activities for new and existing projects.</li> <li>Interface with customers on technical and contractual details during the proposal stage.</li> <li>Provides commercial leadership for quoted project</li> <li>Routinely interfaces with sales engineers, distributor sales personnel, electrical contractors, and end users.</li> <li>Gain an extensive knowledge of all product lines within the GLEP portfolio.</li> <li>Create and implement marketing programs</li> <li>Manage distributor pricing programs</li> <li>Follow-up on proposals</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p>Qualifications/Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college</li> </ul> <p>Eligibility Requirement:</p> <ul> <li>Ability and willingness to drive automobile to call on customers</li> <li>Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license</li> </ul> <p>Desired Characteristics:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering</li> <li>Demonstrated knowledge of electrical industry and critical power distribution products</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and leadership skills</li> <li>Experience working with distributors, electrical contractors, industrial users, consultants</li> <li>Strong technical application, take-off, and proposal development skills</li> <li>Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs</li> <li>Strong coordination and influencing skills</li> <li>Ability to utilize analytical software and sales tools</li> <li>Strong oral, written communication skills and presentation skills</li> <li>Previous sales experience</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
